Yea that's what I should do. Run away. But to where? I don't have no family in Chicago. No friends nothing. Who am I kidding I cant run away. Because if I get caught I would get beaten so bad by my father I would wish that I can die.

I slowly started walking home until some one patted me on my shoulder.

"Yo what's up?" Jimmy said.

"Oh yea thanks for sticking up for me earlier in class." I said

"No dought. But um where you bought to go?"

I can't believe I'm actually having a conversation with him. And now that I'm actually noticing him he is cute. He has a nice edge up and diamond earring. A nice smile and far as his clothes way better than mine.

"Home why?" I said trying to make a long conversation.

"Do you need a ride?" He asked.

"Sure." I said not even thinking. I got into his Nissan maxima. And the air smelled so fresh and it wasn't even no stain on the seats.

I pulled my long golden brown hair hair in front of the mustard stain and put on the seat belt.

"Yea so how was your first day?" He asked.

"It was alright." I said.

"Why alright? Today was suppose to be the best day."

"because Honestly look at me."

"I don't see nothing wrong with you. Maybe the mustard stain I notice earlier but thats it."

"Even my shoes?"

"Look. It's not about what you wear its about how you wear it."

"Well thanks." I said putting a smile on my face.

"No problem. But my day was good."

"That's good."

I really can't believe this. For once in my miserable life I feel happy.

We pulled out of the school parking lot and started driving towards my house. I was embarrassed about my house.

"This big white house right here?"

"Yes." I lied.

"Okay I'll see you tomorrow at school." He said.

I nodded and got out. I started walking slow towards the house and when he pulled off I walked toward my house. My parents where both drinking.

"Hey baby." My mom said.

"Hi momma."

"Get your ass in that house." My dad said.

My mom just continued to drink the beer. I notice that there was a tear rolling down on her cheek.

I didn't dare talk back. I just walked into my house and walked upstairs towards my old looking room.

I laid on my bed and looked up at the ceiling.

**flashback**

"Look abilgal I have to leave." My older sister Daniel said.

"But why?"

"I can't take this shit no more. I honestly can't. And if you had any guts you would leave too."

"Where are you going?"

"With my boyfriend. He is rich, nice, a gentleman. I can trust him. Look I love you and mom but mom is too weak to do anything for herself."

"I.. Love you too."

"I'll be back though I promise."

**flashback over**

My sister Daniel was 18 years old when she left. I was 14. She has been gone for almost 3 years. I wonder what she is doing. Is she in a Nice house? Does she have kids?

Multiple questions I need answers too. But I don't have a phone. The only phone we've had was a house phone but that's over with because my dad couldn't pay the bill.

Maybe I should be like my sister and leave. But with who?

"Get up its time for dinner." My dad said walking into the room interrupting my thoughts.

I got up and went downstairs towards the kitchen and sat down. It was chicken noodle soup. My dad just started eating without saying grace. Me and my mom looked at him and didn't say a word.

I lowered my head and said a quick prayer.

I ate my food and went back upstairs to my room and laid down and fell asleep.
