Kaden's POV
I hung up. I will find an apartment, I have a month. "Kaden." Okward whispered. I sighed and sat down. "I need to go meet my stepmom before I even think about living with them." I mumbled.
Okward took a seat next to me and said,"We can go today."
I nodded no and replied,"My dad hates you and you would make the getting to know her awkward." Okward stood up and walked back to his laptop.
"I won't go if you don't want me to, I was just thinking that it might be easier with me there." He retorted. I stood up and walked over to him. "You know that if I need you your one call away right." I reassured him as I spun his chair towards me.
"Yeah I know." He said while standing up and wrapping his arm around my waist. I smiled and pecked his lips before walking towards the couch that had my phone and room key.
"I'll be back soon." I yelled while walking out the door. "Bye." He yelled back. I continued making my way to my dad's house.
When I knocked on the door, the lady from before answered the door. She smiled and yelled something in Spanish. My dad soon appeared right next to her.
He gave me a hug and told me to come in. I stepped into the house and sat down at a couch.
"I came back because I would like to get to know your new wife before even considering living with you guys." I murmured. My dad smiled and said he would translate for us.
Time skip
I hugged my stepmom before turning to my dad. "I'm happy to see that you and your boyfriend have parted." He cheered. I snorted and replied,"sure."
I waved and walked back to the hotel. His wife didn't seem rude or anything but she's not my concern. I sighed and opened my door, coming face to face with Okward.
"Hi." I said. He smiled and pulled me into a hug. "We've gotta pack... Our flight leaves tomorrow morning." He whispered into my ear. I nodded and began to pack.
