In their last comeback, 4Minute re-energized their look and sound with their new Crazy EP. The six-song effort saw the girl group return to their electro-pop/hip-hop sound with a new zeal via its title track, incorporate their quirky personalities on tracks like "Tickle Tickle Tickle," but also show a previously unseen softer side viathe ballad "Cold Rain." The ambitious effort paid off and 4Minute's earned their first No. 1 onBillboard's World Albums chart, selling 1,000 copies this week.
The rollout for Crazy was rather atypical with the group dropping a buzz video for "Cold Rain" on Jan. 25, mini-teaser videos for EP track until revealing the full "Crazy" visual on Feb. 8. 4Minute's label, Cube Entertainment, actually barred Crazy's U.S. release almost a full month weeks after it bowed in Korea -- a risky move in today's world of instant gratification.
Crazy is by far 4Minute's best showing on the World Albums chart. To date, the girls have notched three entries on the list. Both 2013's Name Is 4Minute and 2014's 4Minute World peaked at No. 13.
