"HAHAHAHA!!!" My loud, hysterical laughter can be heard even outside the car who is fighting against the raging storm that Mother Nature brought upon us. The atmosphere outside was cold and unsettling but inside the car, the mood was joyous and undisturbed.
My mom hits dad's shoulder but he just continues laughing like my mom did not just slap his shoulder. "You two, stop laughing! It wasn't even that funny."
My mother's attempt on stopping us from laughing went slack as we still continue hysterically because my mom farting was very funny. I mean, yeah it's stinky. But it's still funny because the sound of her farting was also very funny.
My mom was so mad that I can almost see steam coming out of her ears. Her eyes narrowed into slits and her mouth is pressed in a thin line.
My dad and I laughed more, seemingly unaware of my mom's fuming anger.
My mom suddenly said in her scary voice she only uses when she is angry, "Don't expect me to talk to you again." Then, she turned her head away from us and faced the window, refusing to talk to us. In short, she's giving us the silent treatment.
My dad and I immediately stopped laughing. A lot of people say that I got my charming personality from my dad. That's how he sangged my mom, and how she always never stayed mad at us for a long time. My dad's charm plus my charm equals a powerful charm that can make us very persuasive.
"Come on, babe. Please don't be mad at us." My dad pleaded.
I nodded alongside my dad and also pleaded, "Yeah, mom. Please don't be mad at us. It's just that we found you farting really funny that we can't control ourselves from laughing. Please forgive us."
My dad tried to cover his laughter by coughing but my mom caught on that he was about to laugh because of what I said. She glared at him and turned her attention to the view outside which wasn't much of a view because of the storm.
I pouted my lips and my dad sighed under his breath, "It's the hard way, then."
We were driving through the curve of the highway when he parked the car at the side of the road just after the curve of the highway.
"Why'd you stop the car? We're going to be late to Milly's birthday!" My mom shrieked in panic. My mom's an early bird. She never wants to be late for any kind of events even if it's just a little gathering or a simple birthday party.
My dad looked at mom and said, "No."
My mom gasped, "Why?" Then, realization dawned on her face, "You're pulling that card again, aren't you?"
"Doesn't matter, but the point is, we will not leave this spot until you forgive us." My dad said with determination clear on his face.
"Yeah!" I said and folded my arms.
My mom sighed, "You guys are unbelievable."
My dad and I yelled, "Heck yeah, we are!"
My dad and I high fived and laughed. After the laughter died, my dad's and I's expression turned serious then we said together in a monotone voice, "Time is running out. Tick tock tick tock tick tock."
My mom sighed. Then, she said in an exasperated voice while she raised her hands, "Fine! I forgive you. Now let's go we're running late."
"YEY! She forgives us!" My dad and I shouted together. We turned to my mom and hugged her. "I love you!"
My mom said lovingly, "I love you guys, too."
Then, we suddenly heard tires screeching from the highway and headlights coming nearer and nearer to our car. A loud boom echoed across the place and our car was tumbling down the hill like a tumbleweed. Since I didn't wear my seatbelt, I keep turning round and round inside the car. I could feel blood gushing out of my head and my head aching and a dizzying feeling like I'm about to pass out. I felt the car tumble to the right side of the car and my right shoulder bumping really hard on the car door, breaking my shoulder in the process. A horrified shriek echoed all around us. I have no idea where or from whom the shriek came from but I have a sneaking suspicion it came from me. The last thing I heard before I passed out was my mom's terrified scream,
"ELLIE!"
