I combed through Emily's dark brown hair and handled every strand like it was my own. Every so often she would turn round and stare at me and her face would sneak a small grin. Her hair is well conditioned, healthy too and it always smells of strawberries. Which as she knows is my favourite smell. I placed the comb on her dressing table and grabbed her red glossy lipstick. Opening the lid, I applied it to her lips. "Pout," I said, "I don't wanna miss any of your lips,"
Her lips were plush and smooth like baby's skin. After I then put the lip stick on to the table. We heard a knock at the door, it was Aria, I hopped off the bed and grabbed her hand squeezed it tight and pulled her closer to the bed. Her massive hazel eyes starred at mine and we smiled in sync. She grabbed her phone from her bag and sat on the edge of the bed.
"Hey Aria, what you been up to recently? Well apart from keeping secrets and telling lies?" I said giving an innocent grin.
Aria frowned in disappointment and gave me a spiteful stare. I stared back... She surrendered.
"Oh I've just been trying new things, I think I'm going to dye a strand of my hair pink!"
"Darling..." I said, "Do we really want to look like Americas biggest drag queen?"
She bowed her head again and slipped on to the bed a bit more, becoming more comfortable with her surroundings.
Emily looked confused. Her right hand twisting bits of her hair and her left hand clenching the bed duvet. So I stroked through her long dark hair, each finger separating different strands, I used this as a reassuring gesture. I could tell she enjoyed this, her eyes light up when she's happy. Another knock at the door. Aria slid of the bed and pulled the door open. Hanna. I'm surprised she could fit through the door! She had an apple pie stain down her green shirt I had got her !
"Hey hanna!" Aria grinned, "I like your hair today."
Hannah smiled and felt her wavy blonde hair, "Awh thanks,"
"Personally I think it looks like a horses tale, but what ever floats your boat!" I said as I rolled off the bed to greet her.
I gave her a small hug and pulled her closer to my bed. She sat down and waved at Emily. Emily gave a slight smile back. I can tell she is annoyed, she would of preferred it if it was just us two, she always does. I scoot myself closer to her and lay my head on her shoulder, "I love you guys!"
"We love you too!" They said in unison. The final knock at the door! It was Spencer, she gave a little smile and walked towards us. "Hey Spence, how are you, today?" I mentioned.
"Fine.. Thanks," she hopped onto the bed and spread her long thin legs towards Aria's lap.
I kicked my legs over and skipped towards my draws. "I got you are all presents," I opened the draw by the handle and placed my hand on the gifts. They were wrapped in tissue paper.
I handed them to each of my friends. Their faces lit up and they ripped it open like presents on Christmas Day.
"Ali you didn't have to give us these! They're beautiful!" Emily said.
They were bracelets with each of their names written on them.
" Em, can you put mine on for me?"
I put my hand out and she wrapped my Ali one around my wrist, "thanks."
"It shows our ever lasting friendship!" I said holding my wrist up in approval. They all repeated and we held our arms up in unison. Together we are unstoppable. Even though I'm unstoppable alone. We are the most intimidating people in school, everyone attempts to impress us, they do crazy things just for us to like them.
The girls sat on my bed, admiring their bracelets. Another knock at the door. Who might that be?
"Girls," it was my mum, " Anyone for Coca Cola?"
"Yes please," said Aria holding up her hand as if to be tribute.
"I'm okay thanks mum," I replied raising my eyebrows.
" Uhm do you have any water in store?" Spencer then added, seeming as polite as possible.
My mum entered the room a bit more.
"Yes, only tap water though? If that's okay with you?"
"Of course, more then fine," Spencer added, grinning.
"Ali, there's new clothes down stairs, for you to try if you like?"
"Thanks mum, be down soon,"
The door shut and everyone hopped off the bed. I stayed on the bed and rolled my dainty feet under the covers.
" So girls, wanna try some new clothes on?" I said grinning in delight.
They nodded with excitement.
"Cool, let's go down stairs,"
I jumped of the bed and swung myself down stairs. They are followed me down and jumped off the bottom of the stairs.
"Hey mum, where's the clothes?"
" Oh, they're in my closet, dear, and Spencer, Aria... Your refreshments are here!"
Spencer and Aria took their drinks off the counter and smiled as a thank you, we set up stairs again and entered my mums room.
" Ali, your mum has excellent taste in fashion!" Hanna said admiring the clothes she had bought me.
I grabbed them off the hangers and set off back into my room.
There were a mixture of designer clothes. My favourite was a black, see through pull over dress. It captured my figure as though I was a doll.
"I'll try this one on first, it's extra flexible!" I said picking up a purple flourished dress.
"May I try it on after Ali?" hefty Hanna asked.
"Sweetie it's not that flexible," I replied, taking off my top and pulling the dress over my body.
"How do I look?" The girls were in awe,"don't have your mouth open for too long, you might attract flies!"
They all laughed, as usual.
Aria tried on a golden eloquent dress which matched the colour of her eyes to perfection!
"It's... Beautiful," Aria smiled admiring herself in the mirror.
I wrapped my arms around her neck, "Just like you!"
Next Hanna tried on a flowing blue dress down to the knees and covered with diamonds from top to bottom.
" Ali, I love it,"
"Of course you do, it's one of a kind just like you!" I replied zipping up the back of her dress for her.
Emily wore a green short dress, that showed off her swimmers body!
" Hey Em, you look stunning, let me zip the legs up for you!" I said kneeling down to achieve the finishing touches.
Finally was Spencer, she picked up a black dress, "It's stunning!!" She yelled.
" Sorry Spence I have dibs on that one, choose another," I said tilting my head at her.
She gave me an evil stare, I grinned, gritting my teeth and starred back at her. Once again she surrendered.
" I guess this ones nice," she put on a zig zagged pattern black and white dress.
"Beautiful!" I smiled admiring her long skinny legs.
" Don't take them off girls, I got a surprise...who's up for a party tonight?"
There eyes lit up again.
