2 weeks before the opening evening letters were handed out to those who wanted to volunteer. Zainab, Sara, Aliyah and Henna were all best friends. "When's the opening evening", asked Sara. "7th of october" replied Mrs Patel. "Sorry miss but we cant help then cuz thats my birhday" said Sara "And were all goin out!"

Zainab was the one whose family was very protective as she was the only girl so they didnt allow her to go out anywhere! If she needed something her parents were always there to fulfil her wish. She couldnt even go to the corner shop by herself.

"I wont be able to come, you're aware of that right?" "Why man you always do that" replied sara angrily.

"Well you know what my family is like they never let me spend a minute away from home alone, how the hell do you expect them to let me go out with you!"
"Well its not like we're going to rob a bank or summat, we're just going to chil." Aliyah and Heena just sat there and stared as the other two argued. "Just ask your mum incase she says yes" said Heena. She was the sensible one after all.

That day Zainab went home and sat down to eat with her family. "Mum" she said "can I go out with Sara lot, its her birthday so she wanted me to come asell."
"Liste sweety, I know you want to go out but we just want to protect you from the dangers outside"
"But I'm not going to do anything wrong am I"
"I trust you, I just want to protect you"
Zainab got up and went upstairs. Why didn't her parents understand.

At the end of the day she knew she wasn't going to be allowed and that is what made her different from the rest of her friends.

She didn't understand what her parents meant, not yet anyway...
