A/N: this is my first story with two POVs so please don't judge too harshly. I love getting feedback to help improve my stories though.

Emily's POV

My parents and I get along pretty well. I know they are only my adoptive parents but I have only them, my friends, and my Auntie Diane and Uncle Gary. Auntie Diane and Gary aren't my biological aunt and uncle but they have basically adopted me, and me them. They run the bells program at my church, my safe haven, my getaway. I've painted my room a dark blue with a light green accent wall, which my parents and I argued on before they gave in. They kept saying it wasn't very feminine.

I've had one boyfriend, who dumped me a month ago. I have gotten over it but now I feel like something isn't quite right. Ignoring this feeling I went downstairs. It is exactly two months until I turn sixteen. I can't wait!

Getting downstairs I noticed mom and dad were being really quiet. I went into the kitchen and said hello as cheerfully as I could.

"Good morning!" My father almost sang out. Weird since he's never happy in the morning. My mother remained silent. "Emily, we need to speak to you."

I quickly grabbed an apple and sat down across from them.

"We know that you are excited for your sixteenth birthday but I'm sure you will be even more excited to hear that you're engaged!" My father exclaimed.

It took a minute to sink in before I started screaming anything I could think of. After a minute I slightly calmed down. I was calm until I heard that this would be before my sixteenth birthday. I hung my head, knowing there was no way out.

They allowed me to go to my room to get ready to meet my fiancé. I wanted to wear jeans and a t shirt with some converse but was pushed into wearing a black skirt that came to my knees with a light pink blouse. I refused to wear heels, instead putting on a pair of black flats. I sighed before going downstairs.

I sat down on the sofa as my mother came downstairs, with my father not far behind. I wanted to cry, my own parents were basically selling me into an arranged marriage. I fought back some tears as they finished getting ready.

By the time they finished, I had made myself feel numb. They smiled at me and I faked one that must have seemed real, since they turned away, satisfied.

We went out to the car and they lectured me for a while before I plugged my earbuds into my iPod and put them in my ears. I blasted Three Days Grace's Chalk Outline, since I feel like a ghost of myself. Afterwards I listened to Rascal Flatts, Luke Bryan, and Lady Antebellum. Compass by Lady Antebellum had just finished when we pulled into a long driveway. Here goes nothing.

Mark's POV

"Alpha?" I heard my beta, Luke's voice in my head.

"What?" I snapped at him, then feeling some regret.

"It is a little over three months until we go to the New Moon Pack," he replied ignoring how snappish i have been lately, "shall I call to begin making preparations or should I make preparations with our pack?"

"Make preparations with our pack. I will handle the rest," I replied curtly before cutting of the mental link.

I looked around my messy office and sighed. This is where I spend most of my time, in a room with a desk full of papers and in multiple spots, buried under an assortment of other things, there are shards of broken lamps and glasses. I heard a knock on my office door and told the person to come in. I looked up to see my third in command, Justin, standing there looking slightly nervous.

"Yes?" I asked, then after hearing how harsh my tone was, "may I help you?"

"Sir, your mother has called again. She said if you don't mind link her or call her by noon she will come over," he said quickly, probably nervous about my reaction.

"Crap," I commented, sitting down, "ok. Thank you."

He left the room and my wolf piped up, "What if the moon goddess didn't give us a mate?" I could feel his hurt.

"Every werewolf has a mate, although we should have found her by now," I commented, wanting to cry at the thought of a life without my mate.

I was sucked into my thoughts about mates. Most werewolves find their mate at the age of 16, in a few very rare cases, though, they never find their mate. If you don't find your mate, it's said that males become harsh and will sometimes become killing machines. See, a werewolf's mate is their soul mate. They complete each other, and many times the female will need to calm the male down. Especially if he is an alpha.

Shaking myself out of my thoughts, I decided to get ready to call my mom.
