Welcome back

Hey, this is my first story so please help me make it good by leaving some constructive criticism and a vote would be nice too:)

I stood there in the mirror looking at myself, running my hair through my raven pixie cut hair sweeping my long bangs out my eyes, scrutinizing every aspect of myself.

‘I have to look perfect. NO! I need to look perfect’.

I shuffled my feet a few times, changing my standing position as I question whether I should change my shoes or not when my thoughts were interrupted.

“Hey Sky, you ready” my sister Ava asked as she walked into my room. Her usual 5’6 frame was made taller by 4 inch red heels and she looked amazing in a lacy LBD that fitted her slim but curvy figure.  Her bone straight black hair swept over her left shoulder and her make up was minimal with a bit of mascara and pink lipstick. My sister and I took after our mother with a coffee coloured skin, dark brown doe eyes with long thick eyelashes and full lips.

“Do I look okay, because I’m not sure about the shoes, I mean I don’t want it to be too much, is it to much? Of course it’s too mu...” I rambled

“Skylar calm down okay, your shoes are fine, you look fine, don’t worry” Ava smiled reminding me of our mother. I looked at myself in the mirror again staring at my outfit of choice. I wore a black lace corset top, black leather shorts, black platform heels and a black blazer to try and make the outfit look at bit more casual, finishing it off with eyeliner, some mascara and dark red lipstick.

“Who am I kidding, Jase will never see me as sexy or hot, he will always see me as his best friend’s dorky sister and nothing is going to change that” I wailed

“Look,” Ava sighed “I’m not comfortable with your feeling for my best friend who we have known for 10 years and is like a brother to us,” she said looking at me uncomfortably

“Ava could you get to the point please” I huffed

“No offense to Jase but I think you could better, however if you really like him then I think there is no harm in trying, but if by some weird chance he does not see you as the hot sexy young women you’ve become, don’t feel down cause there are plenty more fish in the sea”

“Thanks Ava”

“No worries, hey hurry up and finish cause Ian should be here soon, (doorbell rings), scratch that, he’s already” Ava grinned whilst walking out of my room and practically sprinting downstairs.

“Hey babe, that dress looks gorgeous on you but it’s gonna look even better when it’s on my bedroom floor” Ian grinned before kissing my sister

“Would you two give it a rest already? Jeez!” I groaned

“You’re just jealous because I have a great man” Ava laughed. Ian and Ava were perfect for each other; they had been together for 3 years and had known each other for 5. Ian was your perfect gentlemen, he was never seen in anything but a suit, his blonde hair was never out of place, his crystal blue eyes always glistened and he constantly had this crooked smile that on him looked cute. He was a perfectionist in everything he did which made him the perfect match for my sister

“Yeah whatever” I said

“So Skylar are you ready to see the boys perform tonight, I mean I haven’t seen them perform in nearly 2 years not since they started to get some fame and It’s been just over a year since we last saw them because of  all the touring they’ve been doing and stuff, it should be fun tonight” Ian smiled
