Beyond The Night

Chapter 3

Rey didn't say a word, "Now would be a good time to start!" I scream at him.

A mad werewolf and a confused vampire is not something you want to have in a small car. He sighed and then asked, "Where do I begin?"

"Our parents would be a good place," Drake tells him.

"Alright, like I said they bailed me out of jail. That was yesterday..."

"And? I know there's more," I tell him.

"They needed my help, we went after the Rinks. And when we found them, we fought, unfortunatley your parents were killed. I'm really sorry guys, I couldn't do anything to help. They made me go look for you and take you to the base," We weren't all that surprised that they were killed, but their death still hurt like a bitch. Drake started crying, hell, I started crying too but mom and dad told us the day would come.

"Go on," I said with tears pouring out my eyes.

"Well, right now we're going on a little road trip, to the Rockies. That's where your parents told me to take you,"

"Is that where the base is?" Drake asked, his voice shaky. His shoulder finnally healed up, guess that's one advantage of being abnormal.

"No, that's where my cabin is. I need to give you some things first," what things? Now I'm getting curious, then again, I bet you are too. For those who don't know what the base is, it's where everything happens. Monster prison, training facility, pretty much the heart and brain of the organization mom and dad worked for. Drake and I have never been there, we're home trained. And pretty well if I do say so myself.

Nobody said a word after that, so we rode in silence for about two or three hours. I wondered what was going through Drake's mind. I wondered what was going to happen from that day on. Our lives would never be the same. My head was inside a hurricane at the moment so i decided to let things happen hpw they're supposed to. I sat there looking at the beautiful sceanary of the Rocky Mountains. Green trees, blue lakes, white rivers, the Aspen tree smell, and the sound of the song birds clearing my mind. I loved it.

I would have fallen asleep right then and there but Rey finnally said, "Alright boys, we're here,"
