Hi again. This one wail be easier to update, however, my chapters will be shorter. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this chapter.
Wendy's POV
Well, I'm finally back at Fairy Hills and I'm currently lying face-down on my bed. What will I do? I'm going to be the only one not going to the party! Lucy has Natsu, Levy has Gajeel, Juvia has Gray and Erza has Jellal (a/n - they all cannoned and Jellal is an invited mage who is an honorary fairy tail mage. I promise to write about the others later!). And who do I have? No one. A snowball has a better chance of surviving hell than I have with Romeo. Why must I love him so much? Maybe it's his cute little face, always laced with thoughtfulness as well as wearing a constant smile. Or possibly his determination to prevail and persevere. Or maybe his warm, kind heart... AGH! THAT'S BESIDES THE POINT! It's so stressful to dote pathetically on the sidelines! Is this what love is? Stress? Probably. Well, I'll just have to find someone else to give my heart to.
"But it's so hard!!!! AAAAAAAARGH!!!" I slammed my fists up and down on my pillow like a crazed creature, beating my unfortunate opponent into submission. Salty tears broke the damn and spilled down my face, staining my sky-blue duvet covers.
"What am I supposed to do?" Again, I planted my face into the pillow and sobbed lightly, with the occasional hic between sobs. After a while, I rolled on to my back, still clenching my pulverised pillow to my chest like it could somehow fix the fiery pit I mindlessly hurled myself in to. After a while, a soft voice let out a gasp as footsteps padded hurriedly towards my side.
"Whatever is the matter, child?" Carla had evidently heard me. Drying my tears, I sag up and prepared myself for her inevitable interrogation and obligatory lecture.
"AM I UNLOVABLE???" I blurted out, almost making Carla step back in shock. Yet again, tears threatened to spill and, before I knew it, the faucet was running yet again. Of course, like any sane being would, she gave me one of the most doubtful and almost dissapointed looks you ever would receive.
"Of course not! Stop being a melodramatic cry baby!" Carla snapped. Taken aback, my cries just elevated in a steady crescendo. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to make matters worse. I'm just stressed with that tomcat constantly I need my tail." I sniffed, finally calming myself down.
"I'm sorry Carla. It's just I'd rather not love than feel alone. It almost hurts." Again, she gave me a doubtful look and relaxed in to an angry mom pose.
"Look child, you're amazing and beautiful; nobody can take that away from you. Don't put all your cookies in one jar if you are so convinced that the jar will smash. Of course, there's a definite possibility that the jar will remain intact which you seem to be relentlessly neglecting. Don't be so hard on yourself." Her tone softened and she cast me a sympathetic gaze. Sniffing for hopefully the last time that evening, I wiped away both my tears and my sorrows with a swift hand.
"Thank you Carla."
Not too long after that whole ordeal, Carla left and I buried my nose into a book. It was rather fascinating. It told a story of before the rebirth of the human race on earth, before they destroyed the earth with developing land, pollution and wars without restoring the land. It was named Alexander Hamilton and was by Ron Chernow. Despite the obvious fact that most found it a dull biography, I was intrigued by how this man went from utter destruction and despair to being such an influencial person. I flipped through some of the pages and began to read. After a while, my tranquillity and serenity was interrupted by two sharp knocks on the door.
"Wendy? What's wrong?" A voice said in a soft tone from behind the door. It was Romeo. Faster than racers speed, I flung the oaken door open to reveal Carla standing behind him while he was wearing a... Pink, poof dress?
