"Put your hands up were we can see them!" The cop ordered, his voice hoarse but still very loud and intimidating.
'Is this another trick by Lucian and Ava? I 'd bet my car it is, and if it's not them it has to be the devil.' I mentally grumbled. 'This is such a nuisance! It's barely one o'clock in the afternoon and people are already being annoying. More annoying than usual even.'
The crowd surrounding us looked around in confusion, wondering what was going on. I mean what would I, the Cedric Elston, be doing that had gotten me pulled over by the cops? I knew I was hot stuff, but that didn't make it any less embarrassing. Sheesh. I wouldn't tolerate this at all, especially not today of all days. I've already dealt with Nikias, and the last thing I needed was some cop, whoever he was, getting all up in my face for no reason.
"Very well." I sighed, my frustration evident in my voice and expression. I glanced over to Nikias, letting him know to be ready for whatever was to come. Of course I knew what that was but, I can't help it sometimes.
I slowly pulled out a knife that was sheathed in my shirt and hid it in between my fingers as I raised my hands up in slight surrender. A slow, sly grin spread across my face as the officer walked up the steps and took out the handcuffs to restrain me. Slowly he opened them and as he did I got ready, ready to begin the plan in three...two...one.
A huge gasp escaped the man's mouth as I pinned him to the floor with the dagger.
I turned from there and ran towards the glass door with Nikias. What felt like an eternity finally came to an end once we were inside the door. I felt my veins pulsing with small waves of shock and anxiety as I ran along side him. My ears rang as I heard bullets shot right by me, barely missing me as I continued on, only a few feet away from the door now. The blade escaped my hand as I threw myself inside, piercing a rogue grenade and detonating it. I pressed the red button and immediately the titanium gates started closing down. A giant thud assured that they were locked tight. The bullets crashing against them continued, echoing inside the lobby we were in.
"Do these people ever learn to leave you alone Cedric?" Tessa asked, her voice filled with disgust and annoyance. She had always detested Lucian and Ava, and she did more than ever now.
"Sometimes I wonder if they'll ever learn." I said as I pushed myself up from the smooth marble floor. "I'm so sick of this relationship I have with them, it's too-"
Suddenly, an arm grabbed me causing me to lose sight of Nikias and Tessa and within seconds as I was dragged into a dark closet. Hold on, I recognized whoever it is that was dragging me! The person wore cherry cologne, very weak sounding shoes, and a strong grip.
"Clement d' Alexio!" I screamed as the lights finally illuminated the dark room.
"Oui, Monsieur Cedric."
The way he played around with my name was truly disgusting, and very, VERY, annoying. "Why you little pervert!" I ground out, trying to pin him against the wall with another blade I'd had, but unfortunately he dodged it and instead he pinned me to the wall.
'Oh. My. Word.' I thought as I struggled against him. 'What is wrong with me? We're the same age! WHY CAN'T I JUST SHAKE HIM OFF?!?!'
After several embarrassing minutes of struggling I finally sighed and looked down in defeat. "What do you want?" I asked quietly, having finally mustered up some gut to look him in the eye. "If it's control of my dad's company, you're wrong Clement." I said as I noticed his new hair color. Ever since we were kids he's been envious of what I had and spent his entire life trying to be like me, copying everything I did.
He'd always have the same clothes on as I did, same shoes, the only thing capable of differentiating us was the hair color and style. I was born with white hair, and he with black hair. He'd always dye it, and would it be dreadful. As I said he'd copy everything, even my hairstyle. Although the one he has now was my old one.
A smirk disgraced his already pitiful face before his awful voice filled my ears. "It's only fitting you should not want me in control, for I would achieve much greater than you." He declared proudly.
I grinned and rolled my eyes at the pure ridiculousness of his statement. My grin grew wider and I couldn't help but laugh, laugh so much to the point that I was nearly in hysterics. 'Oh my, does he really think that?' I wondered.
"Why, and how would you achieve greater than me? It's not like you would be a greater person."
"Everyone would admire me instead of you!"
"I'm not sure why you're telling me that, but it's great to know how immature you've stayed." I snorted, then grunted slight pain as he slapped me across the face. It felt more like he had twenty jewel covered rings on his hand than just bare skin.
"Say it one more time! I dare you and-"
"It's great to know how immature you've stayed." I interrupted, taking his so called dare. And it only earned me another slap on the face.
"You'll never be like me Clement, not now, not ever. Do you really think you, you of all people could even come the slightest bit close to being like me"?" I grinned a bit as he took my insults and heard my subtext calling him trash. While he was still quiet, I took the opportunity to continue.
"Tell me, how many CEO'S have gotten on their knees and asked you for mercy?" I asked, betting zero but who knew what he might say.
"None."
"And you expect people to grovel at your feet when they're not even on their knees?"
A second later, Nikias and Tessa threw open the door and rushed towards me. Tessa detained the perverted obnoxious beast and got him away from me. 'Finally.' I thought to myself.
"I take it you are alright Cedric?" Nikias asked.
People never expect you to say yes after a situation such as this, but then again I am a great liar. "Yes Nikias, I am." I spat, pure venom and hatred in my tone as I took one last look at that pathetic human named Clement.
"You can try and break me Clement..." I lower myself to meet his eyesight so I'm sure he hears me. "But you'll only break yourself."
