Ignorance and nasty perfume filled the ball room. Only wealthy merchants and other lords are invited to step foot in this castle, with their thurst for money and lust. Of course the neighboring lands are invited to attend to avoid any conflict.

Isaic stands on the third floor, looking down behind a colum. He notices all the women are either throwing themselves at a random man, or giving vicious glares at each other for a reason he didn't understand. The men all had sour looks, like its all a competition for who had the most power, and if it were, Isaics dad will win.

The room begins to dance to unpleasant music that sounds like a dieing cow in Isaics opinion. He swiftly makes his way to a hidden door that leads to the attic. Once in the secluded room, he silently sits on a window seal. In the middle of daydreaming, a lound and sudden crash startles him.

Jumping up he grabs a bat from besides him.

"Whos there?" Silence. He looks around the dark room. The noise was to loud to be just a trick from his mind.

He walks near a large closet, thinking the trespasser could be in there. With hands in fist and fear controlled by anger he swings open the door, surprised by what he found.

Nothing. Just cloth and dust.

He closes it and checks his surroundings once more, then heads down to the awful party.

Thats when the unknown stranger comes out of his hiding place, proceeding with his plan happily.

-

"Thank you all for coming, I know at this time of the year it is hard to travel, and we do appreciate it very much!" King Adeney announces to the ridiculously long dinning table where everyone took a seat.

Isaic sat in between Zander and Mason, both sons of king Rollin, ready to fall asleep anytime during this speach thats been told over and over again.

"Now tonight is the night to give thanks, so I will start the night by saying how thankful I am for my family. Everyone. It feels like the entire castle is family to me. I'm thankful for all of those who helped me and my son through the death of my amazing wife. However, we must not dreal on the past, but focus on the future. So heres a toast to the upcoming new year to come!" He raises his glass with cheerful eyes. The whole room mimics his action and all that is heard is happy voices moved by his speech.

Resting his head on his right hand, Isaic takes a sip of the rich liquid from his goblet. The food here is all he looks forward to really.

Across the table from Isaic sat young princess Nya Senlis who began to eat her food receiving comments from her sister Roblyn on her food choices, saying if she wants to be as pretty as her, she'd have to not eat as much. While spacing out, she glances across from her at prince Isaics expressionless face. Her eyes wonder upwards to something unusual.

On the restricted third floor, she saw what looks like a shadow of a person. Confusion consumes her as she pays more attention. A person peeks out from a colum, not dressed as one of the service and not in formal wear either.

The stranger notices the young naive girls stare and backs away, into the shadows. Once out of her vision, he observes her, not wanting any trouble with the girl. She resumed whatever she was doing and he sighs in relief. Now for the fun to start.

-

Dinner was near its ending and the ball room was calling for guest to dance in it. Isaic was in the middle of a genuine conversation between Mason and himself. His eyes get distracted by an empty seat behind his friends head, thinking nothing of it he carries on minding his own business.  The servents who clean began to fill the room, and Mason stands to collect his mess while Isaic does the same.

No one expected what happened next.

The lights went out, making the room a darkness that spreads chills through Isaics spine. Dishes breaking and gasps fills the room.

After half a minute, all of the castle lights turned back on. Sighs and breathes of relief escapes every pair of lungs. Prince Isaic stays silent, however. Things like that doesn't happen very often. Somethings up and he can feel it in the air.

Thats when the chandelier droped.

He hears chains snapping above and immediately backs away to the back of the room, as does everyone else near the table. Its like it falls in slow motion. Once it hits the ground, it shatters, the whole thing being as bid as the huge dinner table.

Then something attached to a rope falls from the ceiling. Screams an cries are heard while Isaic takes a step forward not realizing what it is. It slowly turns and thats when a gasp finally left his mouth.

Its a body.

He takes a closer look. Its a guy, with a paper crown on its head and 'king'  written on the torso in a crimson dripping liquid that makes him sick to his stomach.

Tons ran out with fear filling their systems, it seems he was connected to royalty because a group was crying, and people ran passed him pushing him slightly, trying to leave. But Isaic just stands still, trying to wrap his head around this.

Someone did this.
And he's going to find out why.
