Before anyone could answer a horn blew. 'Time for dinner!' Percy said taking off running.

'Race ya!' He yelled over his shoulder.

'Cheater!' Annabeth yelled, chasing after him. I smirked and pressed the Iron Man suit charm. My suit engulfed me as I took off. I flew over Annabeth and Percy.

'Gotta keep up!' I said. My voice was magnified by my suit.

'Hey!' Percy yelled up at me.

'Not fair!' Annabeth added.

'Life's not fair!' I countered. I descended and landed just in front of them near the pavillion. I pressed the button on my wrist and my suit disappeared. They stood there glaring at me.

'What? You never said no suits." I said shrugging innocently.

"Well..." Percy started but couldn't finish since he was lost for words.

"Well nothing kid." I joked and we walked over tables. I piled food onto my plate and followed as every other camper walked over to a large campfire. They would toss a good sized portion in then stand therefore a while. Then they would walk away. I noticed a few would say things like Hermes please protect us, or For Demeter, or something like that.

It was soon approaching my turn. I was was still trying to figure out what to say to my mom. When I got up there I still had no idea what to say so I just prayed.

'Mother please guide me and my friends on our upcoming quest. Also please protect Dad and the rest of my family back at SHIELD.' I dumped everything but a few grapes in hoping she would accept my offering and then returned to my seat. I slowly popped the few grapes into my mouth. I was lost in my thought and memories.

I was thinking about the past that I wished I could return to. Not the life of living as the daughter of a goddess and a superhero-billionaire. With all the money my father has I honestly thought that no matter how much of it he spent I could never be saved from this life. Not even if we went broke.

~Flashback~

I was five and I had just found out about Loki taking Clint under his control. I had been crying for a day straight... literally. Nat had come over to talk to me since Dad or Pepper couldn't get through to me. It had been five days since I last saw him. Five days since he last babysat me. Five days since I shot my bow with him for the first time.

Nat had worked undercover in my father's company when I was two. She watched me sometimes, and even after Fury took her off my dad's case she would still come and visit me. After I turned four, she had started bringing Clint . They were the siblings I never had. I heard a knock on my door as I laid next to the teddy bear they had given me a month or so ago.

'Go away!' I yelled through my sobs.

'Arcee, it's Nat-Nat. Please let me in." I didn't move to go unlock the door or even to yell at her to leave. I just kept crying as I remembered all the good times I had with Clint. Suddenly I heard the door click and it opened. She walked over to my bed and sat beside me.

I ignored her, and cuddled my teddy bear. She placed a hand on my shoulder. 'Arcee...'

She was interrupted by me sitting up hugging her and saying, 'I miss him Nat-Nat! I want just want him to come home.' I cried into her shoulder.

'Me too Arcee. Me too.' She said lightly then started hugging me back.

~End of Flashback~

'Arcee? Ello?' I was snapped out of my trance by Percy waving his hand in front of my face.

'What.. Huh?' I shook my head to clear it.

'Uh... Dinner's over and everyone was dismissed.' Percy stated.

'Oh.' I got up and started walking with him.

'You alright? You were kinda in a daze.'

'Ya...' I said quietly.

'Wanna talk about it?' He asked rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.

'Sorry, but no.' I said, not meaning to come across as rude, then I walked back to my cabin to prepare myself for the adventure that lay ahead.
