She looked up, handing me the cigarette and smiled at me with an optimistic grin.
"That sounds great, Harry" She said. I smiled back at her. Her features lit up by the moon as we sat in the middle of the big field at two in the morning. Her long, blonde hair falling gently on her shoulders. She was just beautiful. In that moment, I swear I was definitely in love with this captivating girl in front of me.
I'd spent just under an hour pouring my heart out to a girl who, quite frankly, probably isn't that interested. Who would want to listen to a sappy 18 year old worrying about what he's going to do for the rest of his life? I wanted to be with her, but she didn't want me. She wanted my football playing best friend. I can see why.
"Here's to your future" She said, holding her can of Stella towards me. I raised mine and they clicked together.
