"So. You going to let me in or not?" Jaime asked. I stepped aside and headed to the living room, Jaime right at me heels. "Nice place" he mumbled before throwing his bag onto the laminate flooring and kicking his feet up. "Would you like a drink?" I asked quietly. "Some beer would be great" he replied coldly. "I could make you a coffee or a tea-" "A beer would be great thanks" he snapped. I nodded and retreated to the kitchen and pulling a can out of the cooling box. "So. What are we going to do the project about?" I asked nervously. "I don't know. You're the one that's doing it. Not me." He laughed. I nodded and headed upstairs to get my books. Instead of going straight back downstairs again, I decided to hover in my room for a while longer. I started scribbling down a few lyrics and after I was happy with them, stood up to head back downstairs to Jaime. "What you got there?" Jaime asked causing me to jump and knock all sorts if papers onto the floor. "I-I just..." I stuttered as he stormed over and picked up my lyrics book. "One last wish, one last kiss, these blood red lips are poisonous. One last breath, one slow death. Say a prayer while you're laying there motionless. I cross my heart, I hope you die..." Jaime read my lyrics out loud. "Is this what I think it's about?" He asked, slamming my notebook back onto the desk, causing me to flinch. "I-I don't know w-what you're talking about" I replied, mocking confused. "Don't try to hide it. This song is written about us. Isn't it?" He said. I swallowed the lump that was forming in my throat. "Isn't it?" Jaime screamed, taking me by the neck and pinning me to the wall. His grip around my throat so tight, I could barely breathe. "I don't think Tony will be too pleased to hear your little song. Or Mike..." He taunted "Or Vic" he said smirking. "In fact, why don't we call them?" He said dropping me to my knees and fumbled around with his phone, obviously getting the others to come around. I could feel the bruises on my neck beginning to form. I was terrified to say at the least as to what was going to happen next. A few minutes later, there was a loud banging on the front door. Jaime smiled and retreated downstairs to open the door. "Where is she?" I heard Vic yell as he sprinted up the stairs. He wandered into my room and walked straight up to me, throwing me into the wall. "I heard all about your pathetic little song. You really think that about us? Huh? Answer my damn question!" He yelled, pulling back his fist, causing it to collide with my jaw. I held onto my face in utter pain. He shoved me to the ground and began kicking me. "You're so worthless. Absolutely pathetic. Just kill yourself already. Nobody would care! Do it!" He screamed throwing me into the desk. I felt a giant pain flow through my head and the familiar feeling of warm liquid pouring from my mouth. Blood. He picked me up one last time, smashing my back into the hard wall. "You make one more tiny mistake like this again, and you won't have to kill yourself, because I'll do it for you" he snarled before letting me go and retreating down the stairs. I heard a few loud footsteps and then the front door slam shut. I began to sob uncontrollably. I pulled my legs into my chest and buried my face between my knees. My whole body shook. I was in so much pain. My body began to rattle and shake even more and my head was flooded with thoughts and questions. Why did they hate me so much? Why do they want to make my life a living nightmare? Why do they find all of this entertaining? What have I ever done to them? I pulled myself from the ground after a good half hour or more of uncontrollable tears. I wiped my eyes and tiptoed to my bed. Not even bothering to change my outfit, I buried myself in between my mattress and duvet and waited for the darkness to swallow me up, silently hoping that I wouldn't wake up the next day.
