"nina, what's wrong?" i asked.

"it's— it's fabian." she said, trembling.

"what? NINA WHAT DID HE DO?" i demanded.

"amber! calm. he's um— he's with mara now. and i kind of overreacted. i said some things i shouldn't have." nina said.

"nina! i'm gonna put him in his place! mabian? ugh puke. fabina is forever! i said.

"fabina?" she asked.

"fabian and nina, duh! anyways, i will fix everything!" i replied.

"amber, no please. i don't want you to get involved." nina said.

"ugh, fine. but, i at least want to go downstairs and say hi to everyone!" she said.

"amber! no, um— stay here, with me!" she didn't want me to see alfie and willow.

"why, nina? i just want to say hello!
you're hiding something from me." she asked.

"okay, i guess i'll tell you, i mean you're my best friend. okay here goes.

alfie and willow are together!" she blurted out.

"what!?" i said, hurt.

"amber, i'm so sorry. i just thought it was better that you heard it from me." she said.

"yeah, i suppose you're right. but why wouldn't he tell me?! i mean, how long has this been going on?" i asked frantically.

"amber, look. try not to get so worked up. we haven't been here five minutes yet." nina said.

"oh, i'm not mad. i'm vengeful." i said.

eddie's pov

well, i'm back. eddie is back. eddie miller college student, not osirian. yep, you heard that right. i'm nothing now. just a regular old college student.

the osirian dies, but the boy lives.

patricia and i both spent the summer together in america. it was her first time. we went everywhere. every state, every city, every town.

as we walked through the living room door, we were greeted by, willow. alfie, joy, jerome and kt. but, where are mara, fabian, nina, and amber?

poor nina. she must be heartbroken. i better go say hi.

i made my way upstairs to greet everyone, and i was just about to knock on nina's door when amber practically ran me over.

"EDDIE!!!!!" she yelled.

"amber, always a pleasure." i said sarcastically.

"hey, have you seen nina?" i asked.

amber peeked her head in nina's room.

"nope. she's not in there." amber told me.

"well, where could she be?!" i started to get worried.

"dude. chill."

"i am not going to chill, amber. nina's gone. we need to find her." i told her.

"why are you so worried all of a sudden?" she asked, curious.

"NINA. THE CHOSEN ONE IS MISSING.

that doesn't ring any bells as odd?" i asked her.

"you're right. let's go!"

amber and i frantically rounded up everyone from sibuna and told them what's happening.
