I looked down to the tiny baby wrapped in my arms smiling. Two hours of squeezing George and Hermione's hand was all worth it. Every ounce of pain, every tear, every craving, it was all worth it. Just to bring this baby into the world, my baby, my beautiful little boy.
"Have you thought of any names?" Mrs. Weasley asked as she sat at the edge of my bed, "Well, Fred always wanted to name our baby boy after Georgie, so I was thinking something along the lines of George Frederic Weasley." Everyone nodded. "Lovely, absolutely lovely." Mr. Weasley said with tears in his eyes.
"Who'd like to hold him first?" I asked, everyone fought and Harry stood by my bed silently, "Harry, would you?" I asked, he looked down his bright green eyes staring at me. "I'd love too." He replied, I pat the spot next to me and Harry sat down, carefully handing the tiny baby off Harry held him tightly.
"Hi there little man, I'm your uncle Harry." He whispered, "You look an awful lot like your mother." He whispered softly. I smiled and everyone silently watched the three of us. "I bet your father would do anything to be here holding you, and I'm so sorry you didn't have the chance to meet such an amazing man." Harry whispered not realizing everyone was listening to him.
A nurse poked her head in the room and smiled, "Its time for these two to get some sleep, one person may stay, we can get them a cot as well." She said sweetly. I turned to George looking up at him from my spot in my bed. "Can you stay?" I whispered to my best friend, he smiled and nodded. Him and Blue had decided to stay as the nurse allowed a little girl to stay.
Everyone bid their goodbyes and promised to return, I place George Jr. In his little substitute crib and Blue sat on my bed and gave me a kiss wishing me a goodnight as George turned off the light and placed her on the cot laying beside her. "Goodnight George." I whispered into the darkness, after a few moments of silence George mumbled tiredly, "Goodnight, sister."
I sighed and closed my eyes bringing the covers to my chin closing my eyes letting a deep well needed rest take over.
"Hello love." I turned around facing Fred, I was standing in the fimiular pure white room. Without a second thought I ran up to Fred wrapping myself in his arms.
"Oh Freddie," I cried into his shoulder, he squeezed my shoulders and took in a deep breath, "I miss you so much." I told him, he just nodded. "I found your ring." I mumbled. He looked down at me, his beautiful brown eyes piercing into my blue ones. I lifted my hand to show him the small diamond ring on my finger.
"I was gonna ask you before the war," he mumbled, "I had everything planned to the second." He told. I wiped away a stray tear from his soft cheek and shook my head. "Its okay, don't worry about it, I still love it, I still love you." I whispered, he smiled lightly and placed his lips on my cheek.
"I named the baby," I whispered to him, he looked down at me as if telling me to go on; "George Frederic Weasley." I told him, his smile grew.
"That's absolutely lovely babe." He told me, I smiled and watched as Fred looked down to a watch placed on his wrist, it looked funny and out of place, Fred never wore anything on his wrist. My smile faded as Fred sighed. "We have to say goodbye." He told me. I shook my head tears filling my eyes again.
"No, it wasn't enough time, I need longer, Fred I need you, please Fred, please." I cried, he reached out and wiped away a single tears and kissed me softly.
"I'm so sorry babe, I love you so much." He whispered to me. "I love you too, Fred Weasley." I mumbled.
My eyes fluttered open and I was greeted by the sun shining through the window, I looked to my left to see both Blue and George still sleeping, then I looked to my right and found George Jr, sleeping peacefully. I sighed a small smile on my face, "I love you too Fred Weasley," I whispered with a single tear rolling down my already wet face.
