Chapter 1 - sweet dreams?

A/N okay i know this actually really sucks but it was hard to make this long because its a recap of before all the cool stuff happens in the book and stuff. Keep reading and i promise it'll get better as it goes along. ALSO, PICTURE OF CAMERON ON THE SIDE.

     Me and Casper sat down at an empty picnic table we found after 15 minutes of looking in the crowded amusement park, I sat across from him and picked at my candy floss, he tugged at his muscle tank to try and cool off, it was extremely hot today. I looked around examining everything around me. I was trying to find the right words to say, I needed to get something off my back. I was gay, and I knew it. I needed to tell Casper, but I didn't know how. 

     "it's so hot out Cam, can we go somewhere in the shade?" Casper whined to me.

   I just sighed back and stood up, he did the same, right as we got up two girls stole our table. We walked into the petting zoo, it smelt bad but it was the closest shaded place in the park. I hated the smell, it gave me a bad headache. 

     I pointed to the baby chickens and smiled. 

   "Casper can we go see them pleeeasee?" I said and gave him a puppy dog face and leaned against him.

 

   He shook his head and chuckled "sometimes I feel like I'm your dad, or maybe your older brother or something" he patted my shoulder and walked over to the cage with the chickens in them.

 

  I looked down into the the cage, they were so cute and looked so fluffy, I looked up at Casper with teary eyes. He started laughing. I nudged him and wiped away the water from my cheek, then started laughing along.

    

   Me and Casper walked across the field to get to all the motor cross races were. I needed to tell him, and I needed to do it now.

 

         "eh, Casper, can I tell you something, its actually kind of important…?"

      

         "pfft. of coarse, spit it out" he hit me playfully in the back and smiled.

  

         " well.." I paused, I was panicking. "I uhh" I looked at him.

 

         "you're what..?" he said and and gave me a bored look.

  

         "I'm gay" I said quickly and stared at him. He looked really shocked, his eyes widened and he took a step back.

 

         "okay.. i've known for awhile now, I just didn't know how to tell you" 

 

      He looked at me and shook his head, trying to get rid of the thought I'm guessing. 

   

          "you. you're disgusting Cameron.. we can't be near each other anymore.."

 

      He started walking away from me, out of the park, he wasn't really walking, more like running..

 

         "Casper! Come back!" 

 

   I shot up in bed breathing rapidly, I couldn't see anything in my dark room. Another dream about Casper? I wiped the sweat off my forehead and breathed in deeply. I looked over at my alarm clock. It was only 2:45am.  

   

   I laid back and tried to get the thought of Casper out of my head, the fact that I still care about him after all this really actually made me mad. He tries to ruin my life now, follows me around with his group of friends, daily. Meeting me outside at school, following me home, he was basically just my shadow at this point.. Haunting me.

   I sat up again and walked over to my window, I opened the curtains and looked around. Yep, nothing out there, only street lights and the annoying sound of crickets chirping. Caspers house was just across the street from mine, I looked over at his bedroom window, he was awake? 

   Stop thinking about him Cameron, he hates your guts, you're nothing to him, go back to bed. please. 

 I did exactly what I thought, stumbled back into my bed and drifted off to sleep again.
