Leaving for home

Seeing you still makes me wary
Your once dark skin is now pale
Your eyes glossy and dry
Seeing you like this makes me wary
I bow my head and pray to GOD
But it seems he won't be answering my prayer
She is now huffing and gasping
Like a fish out of water
Her hands are becoming cold as ice
I feel wary
I never seen her like this in my life
A tear comes down her pale cheek
I feel wary and concerned
Her body has become weak and fragile
Her skin is becoming paler and colder
Her mouth dry
I lean in to give her a kiss a kiss that I know told her everything I felt
And just like that, she left for home
Leaving us behind
I miss my mother so much it pains me to see her leave for home
I heard a whisper in my ear in the wind "I'll see you later"
A smile went on my face because I know I'll be leaving for home to see her.
