When you left I thought,
You’re gone forever.
You can’t hurt me anymore.
Funny how I say this now,
Even when I know
You never leave, ever.
Now when I look in the mirror,
I see the scar you’ve left.
Of course everyone looks,
When I go outside.
They can see too,
Just goes to show,
How you manage
To make my life hell,
Even when you aren’t here,
So I carry this scar
With bitterness and regret,
Regret that I knew you,
Regret that I met you,
Regret that I loved you.
