~Chapter 24~

5 months later
Harley

"I'm so excited" I said with excitement to Matt, "I know, it will be the first time we go camping with all the kids" he smiled as he replied. For the next month everyone is coming down to our cottages, we have 3 in total. Matts, Nash's, and Jack J's. April, my daughter is going to be 5 months in a few days. Emily's daughters, Aubrey and Skylar will be 6 months in about 3 days, Jason and Jenna will be 6 months in 3 days as well. Brie's little girl Summer will be 4 months tomorrow. Alexa had a little boy named Noah and he will also be 4 months tomorrow. Finally, Carmen and Aarron are the youngest, they will be 4 months in 2 weeks. We were all going to meet up at 12 to head down. "Matt!" I yelled down the stairs of our brand new house, "Ya babe?" He called up the stairs, "Don't forget to pack Aprils extra blankets and clothes!" I waited for a response, "Ya,Ok" he said in reply. I walked across the hall into April's room. She was sitting on the floor on a bunch of pillows, playing with some toys. "Hey hunny, are you ready to go camping?" I cooed, she clapped her hands in response, "someone's learning new things" I said as she giggled while clapping. "Ok let's go!" Matt yelled from downstairs. I picked April up and I carried out to the car while Matt packed everything into the trunk. It's about an hours drive to the cottages. When we got there we were the only ones. So we went to our cabin and set up a cottage arrangement. In every cottage there was 3 bedrooms except for ours we had 4 which meant 4 adults and a few kids could stay in one of the other two cabin and 4 adults and a few more kids or the other way around could stay in ours. It ended up being Matt, me, April, Kenzie,Nash,Carmen, Aarron, and, Alexa, Hayes, and Noah in our cabin, then in Jack's cottage they would have Jordyn, him, and the twins, along with Brie,Cameron,and their little girl Summer. Finally in Nash's cabin their was Emily,Shawn, and their twins and, one of mine and Emily's close friends Torrie, she was also married Taylor and their kid Lexi will be 4 1/2 months tomorrow. We got everything worked out in about an hour , then people started shouting up, we had to explain where they were staying and who they were with. Once everyone was settled in we all went to Nash's cabin, which he wasn't even staying in, and we watched some movies, by 8 all the kids were asleep so we went off to our cabins and put our kids to bed. "I think I'll just go to bed now,I'm pretty tired" I told Matt as I yawned. "Ok" he said, he gave me a kiss on the cheek and went into the other room. I put on my pjs and laid down in bed. I could hear the other boys and Matt in the living room watching the football game. I heard a crying sound, I went to the kids room. April wasn't crying, neither were the twins or Noah. I must be going crazy. I went back and laid down in bed again. I heard it again. I got up and went to Alexa's room, it was her. "Hey" I whispered in the doorway, she looked up at me with tear stained cheeks. "Hey, what's wrong?" I asked, "I went to the doctors today" she said, "I had my checkup and it seemed like it was going well, but when the doctor came back" she started sobbing again, she sniffled and continued "they told me I have bone cancer" I sat there as a silent tear slid down my cheek. "Hey" I heard another whisper, I turned around and saw a confused Kenzie. We explained everything. "Have you told Hayes yet?" I asked cautiously. "I can't, it worries me that I have to tell him I might be gone sooner than he thinks" "I'll do it" I said, "I'll tell him", "for you" she looked at me and half smiled, " you would do that for me?" She asked, "of course I would" I said, "And I'll help too" Kenzie said from behind me. I stood up, "Let's go, it might as well happen now" I told Kenzie, she looked at me and nodded. We walked out to the living room to see Matt and Nash, no Hayes. "Let's check the kitchen" I said to Kenzie. We walked into the kitchen to see Hayes, sitting at the table, his head in his arms. "Hayes?" I asked in a whisper, he looked up "ya?" He replied, his cheeks weren't stained and his eyes weren't puffy so he hadn't been crying. "We need to talk" he looked at us. We sat down and told him everything. His eyes teared up, and he thanked us for telling him. He then went off to bed with Alexa. "Poor thing" I whispered. "I'm going to check out the kids and then go to bed" I heard from behind me, I turned around and saw that Kenzie was sleepy too. "Ya me too" I smiled at her and we both went our different ways. I laid down in bed and when I finally started to drift off, the bed dipped beside me. "Good night babe" Matt said , he gave me a kiss on the cheek and we both fell asleep.

Torrie

"Taylor, go get Lexi she's up again" I swear to god that kid is up so much, she never sleeps long enough at night. Taylor got up out of bed and went to calm Lexi down, he gave her a bottle and she was back asleep in 10 minutes. I could finally sleep.

"Torrie, wake up" someone said as they shook me. I opened my eyes to see Taylor holding a wide awake Lexi. "Taylor, how long has she been up?" I asked, "about an hour" he replied. "Why didn't you wake me up sooner" o asked. "You needed to sleep, you were up really late" I smiled at his answer and gave him and Lexi a hug. "Let's go get some breakfast" I said. I walked into the kitchen and Shawn had already cooked breakfast. "It smells soooooo good" Emily said as she walked out of her room in her pjs. Shawn and Taylor had the babies, let us sleep in, and made breakfast! Oh I was in for a treat, the best kind ever!
