Mingyu didn't speak to me all evening after saying 'I do' at the ceremony. He was very weird, always with an unreadable expression on his face and he didn't seem interested in me at all. It was kind of better this way than having him all over me but I couldn't help wondering what exactly he wanted from me.
The wedding reception seemed to be a very normal party, except for the fact that probably all men and some of the women had guns under their clothes.
He dragged me around introducing me to everyone, and I only nodded and faked a tiny smile at them.
Did they know that I wasn't here on purpose?
They didn't appear to since they kept making comments about how good we looked together and how beautiful and lucky I was.
So lucky.
I thought bitterly while I sulked around the garden. Mingyu had left me alone to talk to a girl that had told him something in a whisper, and I was taking the opportunity to hide from all the stares and attempts at conversation.
"You must be the world's saddest groom." Said a voice behind me. I turned to see a young man with blonde hair. He's so handsome with his charming smile and it makes my heart melt.
"Excuse me?"
"It's obvious you hate him." He said before continue. "If I were you I'd do anything to get away." He kept saying. "But of course, he must have you under some kind of threat. You wouldn't stand a chance against him. Not alone anyway."
I didn't say anything. Just stand there listening to him.
"Let's do something, I'll give you my card." He took one out of his wallet. "...and if you want to talk, I could give you some options." He leaned in and put the card in one of the pockets of my pants, and I jumped slightly.
"Relax." He smiled. "And call me." He winked and went back inside.
I took the card out of my pocket to examine it. His name was Kim Jonghyun a.k.a JR and he were supposedly a lawyer. I wondered if these titles were in code or something. I sincerely hoped so, although deep inside me suspected they weren't. The idea of a society in which these people could live and work so comfortably terrified me.
I hid the card quickly when I saw Mingyu approaching me.
"Jeonghan, come. We're going home." He told me, and I followed him, still thinking about the guy and his words and his charming smile too.
+++Mingyu was still silent during dinner, but as soon as I came out of the shower wearing one of the pajamas I had brought with me from home he took me by the waist and led me to the bed, where he made me sit beside him.
He kept staring at me without saying anything, and I blushed and looked away. He eventually held my chin and made me raise my head.
"You're so beautiful." He said, causing me to start trembling in fear, which apparently amused him because he smiled.
"It's okay, I won't hurt you."
He leaned in and kissed me, pressing his lips firmly against mine. I was frozen in place, unable to react as he sucked on my bottom lip. One of his hands caressed my back, attempting to calm me down, I guessed, but his tongue suddenly entering mouth only made me tense up.
I felt dizzy and I was having difficulty breathing as he made me lie down and started kissing my neck and my collarbone slowly. I was panicking, but I didn't want to make everything worse by resisting. I closed my eyes, begging for it just to be over quickly.
