"You can't run away like that!" Mingyu exclaimed as soon as we were home. "What were you thinking? You're my husband now, and that makes you a target for anyone wanting to blackmail me! You could have been kidnapped!!"
Mingyu hit the wall beside me and I flinched and drew back, but he gripped my arm.
"And for what?! Who was that guy?!"
I was too afraid to say anything.
"Who is he?! Tell me!" He growled.
"He's my friend..." I whispered.
"What's his name?! Did you tell him about me? DID YOU?!"
He was really hurting my arm now and I was terrified of having put Ren in danger.
"N-No... I... didn't." My voice shook and I started crying, turning my head away.
He let go of me. "You're a terrible liar." He said in a calmer tone.
"Please don't hurt him! I didn't mean to... I just wanted to... Please..." I begged pathetically while crying. I was too scared to care for my dignity at this point.
"I won't hurt him unless he makes trouble." He replied. "And you... Don't ever do that again. If you want something, ask me. Do you understand?"
I stayed silent, wiping my tears away.
"I asked you a question!! DO YOU UNDERSTAND?!"
"I understand!" I whimpered, and he stormed out. I let myself fall to the floor, letting more tears fall.

The next morning I got a hundred red roses with a note that said
'I'm sorry :(' .
A gangster had just sent me flowers and had drawn a sad little face in the note.
Right.
I scoffed at it before tossing it away.
I spent the next few days in bed with Kir being miserable. Mingyu noticed my state and appeared to be attempting to cheer me up in his own bizarre way. He had dragged me to have dinner with a friend of his to a fancy restaurant in which I had no idea what to order. I had stayed silent all evening, slowly sipping my strawberry smoothie while actively ignoring them. He also bought me chocolates, sweets, a new computer, anything he thought I might like, but I was indifferent to his gifts, gifts given in silence, with a straight face.
Not a single time did he ask me 'what's wrong?'
Ren texted me every day, but I didn't really feel like talking to anyone, ergo most of the time I'd answer with 'I'm fine. I'll talk to you later.' and afterwards ignored the rest. I didn't want to worry him, but it didn't occur to me what could have possibly made him be at peace with the fact that his friend was being kept in a place against his will by a dangerous criminal.
"Jeonghan." Mingyu said, sitting on the bed where I was lay staring at the ceiling.
"Hm?"
"You haven't eaten today."
"Hmm."
"Why?"
"Not hungry?"
"You need to eat, and you need to leave this bed." He stated.
I ignored him, but this time he wasn't leaving me alone that easily.
"Jeonghan, please stop this." He insisted, hovering over me try to meet my gaze, which I avoided. He then kiss my cheek and grabbed me by the waist and forcefully placed me on his lap.
