I groaned as I started to wake up. My head was pounding as if someone was beating a hammer against it. I tried to open my eyes but instantly closed them from the sunlight. Which caused yet another groan to escape my lips.

"Well look it here! Sleeping beauty has finally awoken from her beauty sleep! She woke up before noon. My twenty dollars please."

I frowned and squinted my eyes to see who was in here. My vision was blurry so I blinked a couple times to make it clear again. As my vision fixed, my eyes landed on my mom and Dylan by my door.

Mom was holding her hand out to Dylan while he dug in his pocket for, I'm guessing the twenty dollars he owes her. Wait, did they really place a bet on me?

I groaned once again and closed my eyes.

I heard chuckling which caused me to open them again.

"Here all I have is a ten." Dylan said handing our mom a worn out crumpled up ten dollar bill.

It landed in her hand and she stared at with a 'wtf' look. She looked back at him and crossed her arms.

"Boy if you don't give me the other ten I swear Ima beat yo ass!"

If my head wasn't pounding and I wasn't suffering from a mega hangover I would've laughed.

I watched in amusement as Dylan frantically escaped the room. Mom looked at me and put a warm smile on her face.

"Are you okay Boo Bear?" She asked sitting next to me on my bed.

I shook my head, "No. My head feels like it's gonna explode."

She chuckled, "Here take this. You should be fine by the time it's time to leave."

I took the pill and water she handed me and gulped it down. I frowned at what she said.

"What do you mean?" I asked Handing the now empty class back to her.

She set it on my nightstand while answering my question. "Well, I found out an old friend of mine lives out here. She doesn't live that far from us, and she has kids that goes to the same school as you guys. Anyway, she said her niece is coming out here to get married and she wants me to help with the decor and the dresses and everything."

I nodded my head taking everything in, "Okay...so what does this have to do with me?"

She smiled at this, "You're gonna help! With the decorations and the dresses. She's about the same size as you and they have a tradition where the bride can't see the wedding dress."

"What! Mom! Did you seriously sign me up for this?!"

She nodded and got up, "Yes I did. Now get up, get ready so we can go. It's just gonna be me, you, and Michelle. Mason and Dylan are staying here with Andrew."

I rolled my eyes at the sound of my stupid step fathers name.

"We leave in one hour Devon!" She said closing my room door.

I through my head back and groaned. I can't believe she signed me up for something I don't want to do, let alone knew about it.

After five more minutes of laying in my bed I got up and made it up. I walked into my closet to search for an outfit today.

I'm not exactly in the mood to try and dress up. So I chose a pair of black leggings, a black sweatshirt that said Love Pink in big bold white letters, a burgundy, white, and black flannel matched up with my black high top converse.

I laid the outfit on my bed and put the shoes in front on the floor. I walked in my bathroom and turned on the shower. As I waited for the water to be warm I looked at myself in the mirror.
