(Helllooo readers! I was in the middle of writing another fabric when I got writers block so I wrote this one instead cause I'm in the mood for some feels. Enjoy!)

Erwin slowly wandered into the big white building. He walked through the hot halls, greeting the little boy who was always sat playing with his stuffed animals. He felt the familiar burn in his legs as he climbed the stairs to the seventh floor. He greet the people who sat at the nurses station on the ward. He knocked on the door of room two before entering. He took the seat next to the bed and grabbed hold of his boyfriends hand.
This was the trip he had made everyday since the accident. Erwin had been fortunate enough to only suffer a broken wrist, but Levi was not so lucky. They'd been driving home from Mike and Nanabas house when a drunk driver hit them, completely crushing Levi's side of the car. Levi smacked his head pretty hard against the side window, which knocked him out almost instantly. It'd been nine days and he still hadn't woken up. The doctors say they don't believe he'll fall into a proper coma and considering the way he'd hit his head that was pretty rare.

So Erwin sat with him. Telling him about his day, how much he loved him and missed him. He was a wreck, Levi was his world. Erwin of course blamed it on himself, if they'd stayed at Mikes like Levi said this wouldn't have happened, but no, he insisted on going home in hopes of getting a quick fuck before bed. Erwin felt like a pig, disgusted at his own selfish actions. But this was how karma worked, he was being punished.
"We miss you Levi, I miss you," Erwin said, kissing the top of Levi's fingers "I've kept the house clean for you. It probably isn't to your standard but I tried my best. I even polished all the wood." Erwin hardly slept at night so he spent the time cleaning the house so that when he got home from work it was like Levi was still there. "Wake up soon, I need you."

He numbly when through his daily jobs at work for a few more day until he got a phone call one afternoon. "Hello this is Erwin Smith." He said, his voice monotone and sad.
"You're the only relation to Levi Ackerman, correct?" The voice on the other end asked.
"Yes, is he okay?!"
"He's woken up." Erwin sat shocked for a moment.
"I'll be right there."

Erwin asked Mike for a lift considering his car was totalled and he was too scared to drive anyway. He ran into the building, past the boy, up the stairs and into the ward. A doctor was standing by the door when he arrived. He introduced himself and told Erwin that, Levi had only just woken up properly. Erwin took a deep breath before enetering. And there he was, Erwins dark haired Angel. He was sat up and looking out the window with his hands carefully folded in his lap. Levi didn't seem to notice Erwin enter, so he sat before he spoke. "Levi?" Erwin almost whispered. He turned to Erwin. The blonde watched the confused look spread across his boyfriends face before Levi said "Sorry, should I know you?"

Erwin felt himself shatter. He couldn't speak so he stood and left. Outside the doctor was still there, he watched as tears fell from Erwins eyes. "He doesn't remember me." Erwin sniffed. The doctors said nothing and entered Levi's room. Erwin had to get out of there, slowly he walked away. He found himself down the hall where the little boy plays. He lent against the wall and let himself sink to the floor. Erwin pushed his head into his knees. This couldn't be happening, it wasn't real. "Hey mister, are you okay?" A small voice made him jump. He looked up to see the boy standing beside him. "What happened?" The little blonde asked. Erwin tried to force a sad smile "Oh, it's just the person I've been visiting has just woken up but he does remember me."
"Oh. Do they mean a lot to you?"
"Yeah, I love him very much." Erwin held back the tears that threatened to fall.
"Well then you've gotta show him that you love him and then he might remember." The blonde smiled.
"Armin!" A voice shouted from up the hallway.
"Granpa." The boy turned and let the old man pick him up.
"He wasn't bothering you was he, sir?" The man asked.
"No, he actually helped me work some stuff out in my head. Thank you kiddo." Erwin stood and waved as he turned to leave.
