Mr. Player Likes Me? Just Great...
*Chapter One*
Ok. So before we even begin to start off on this marvelous journey of my life, I must warn you. I’m crazy. Now before ya’ll start picturing a crazy white girl in a straightjacket, I do not mean that kind of crazy. I’d like to call it overly excessive hyper-ness. It’s like I’m on a 24 hour sugar rush. Yes my mom has gotten me tested for ADHD and yes the results came back negative. The doctor simply put it as this. “Your daughter has an overactive imagination and tends to show signs of hyper-ness. I would strongly advise you against allowing her to have a caffeine substitute such as coffee or energy drinks.” But of course like most children, being told not to do something just makes you want to do it even more! Not that I exactly ever need any more caffeine but hey it’s always fun to be rebellious.
So today is my first day in real school, let alone public school, so I’m actually kind of nervous. I had tried out for color guard at Davidson High and actually made it! I was soo excited! They said that my energy was just right for the team. I had been assigned my own little locker in the guard room which was in the band room. I had already met the rest of the guard team and most of them seemed super nice. I was really psyched for this year. I would be a sophomore and I already had friends! I have also never had my own boyfriend so I was hoping I might catch someones eye this year. I mean im not the prettiest in the whole bunch but I wouldn’t call myself ugly (that is unless you caught me with a serious case of bed head) I had natural brown hair with sun streaked pieces of blond framing my face. It was kind of wavy on most days unless it was raining, which then looked like bed head. My eyes were probably my favorite part of my body. They were a tropical sea blue core with a kiwi colored green outer layer. I wasn’t stick skinny but I also wouldn’t call myself fat, I guess you would call me curvy.
I stepped out of the car and made my way over to the band room. This is it. I pushed open the door to reveal a quite crowded band room with at the end of the room I saw the guard room. My safe place. I scuttled over there and opened the door to reveal two of my new friends, Taylor and Adrianna. They were probably the softest spoken girls there but in time I would change that. I opened my locker and put my not needed binders in and then shuffled through my bag for my schedule. When I found it I closed my locker and set my bag on my shoulder.
“Schedules?” I asked my friends when I turned to face them. They pulled theirs out and we compared. This was fantastic! I was in all classes with Adrianna and two with Taylor. It was nice to know I wouldn’t have to deal alone through my first day. With that the bell rang signaling to us we had five min to get to class which for me and Adrianna was dance. I quickly opened the door and hit something hard with it.
“Oh great. What did I just hit?” I asked as I stepped to the side of the door to get a look at what I had hit.
“Oh, snap crackle and flippin pop!” I shouted as I stared at one of the most handsome looking faces I had ever seen. He had brown messy hair that looked windblown but looked amazingly sexy on him, with the blue eyes that I could just stare at forever. While I was staring at this handsome person in front of me I felt a push behind me having forgotten that Adrianna and Taylor were right behind me I fell straight on top of whoever I had knocked over. They must have not seen me stop and accidentally stumbled into me, which from my view point which was located right on top of Mr. Hottie didn’t seem so horrifyingly bad. From this close up his eyes actually looked like mine.
“Karma sucks doesn’t it?” Mr. Hottie spoke up interrupting my staring in his eyes.
“Sorry you see my friends behind me didn’t see I stopped and well I didn’t mean to hit you with a door. It’s just I can’t see through wood, which would be pretty cool if I could. But I didn’t mean to fall on you either. Although you have really pretty eyes and now I’m just rambling and well I should probably get up.” I stated remembering my location on top of him.
“I think we might be freaking the little freshies out so I guess so. Although I have to say you have quite nice eyes yourself.” He chuckled back.
“I’m sorry again.” I said after getting off of him already missing his warmth.
“It’s cool but I got to get to class. Hopefully I’ll see you again…” he simply asked.
“Oh it’s Rae. And yeah that’d be nice…” I asked back.
“Asher.” He said simply over his shoulder walking away to class.
And with that the bell rang signaling I was late for the first class of my first day of school, just great. Well at least it was for a good cause right?
*it would really be appreciated if yall could perhaps leave some constructive critisism about anything that would make my story better! Thanks! :)
