Mr. Player Likes Me? Just Great...
*Chapter Two*
Once I righted my clothes and fixed my hair I set off to find my dance class. I wandered through the building until I finally came to room 14, the dance room. I tried to open the door handle but seeing how it was locked it wouldn’t budge. So I did what any normal person would do, I beat on the door screaming help there’s a murder out here until the teacher came to the door. Let me tell you looking distraught seem to add about 20 years of wrinkles to your face which with as many wrinkles as she already had it looked like she was the wicked witch of the west for the Wizard of Oz.
“Miss, you are obviously in no harm so might I ask why you were banging on my door shrieking there’s a murderer out here?” she huffed.
“Well, seeing how I’d really like just to start class and move on with my life I’d say that’s a negative.” I simply stated as I flounced into the classroom looking to find Adrianna. “Really?” I huffed under my breath when on my search for Adrianna my eyes ended up finding him, the one and only Asher. Yep that’s right. ASHER. Could my day get any suckier? First I end up hitting him with a door, fall on top of him, ramble on and on, and finish off looking stupid. He probably thinks I’m nuts (no comment) now and wouldn’t want anything to do with me. At least that’s what I thought until I saw him snaking his way over here to where I was.
“You dance?” he asked while stretching out.
“Well, um, kinda, not really, sort of, not very good.” I ramble on. Again. Man what did I eat for breakfast this morning that’s made me go loopy, well loopier?
“So which one is it? Can you dance or not?” he asks patiently.
“Are you kidding me? Rae can dance like crazy! And they say white girls can’t dance! Well they’ve obviously never seen Rae dance!" Adrianna quickly buts in saving me.
“Well then, I’ll just have to see this for myself!” Asher declared. “Excuse me Mrs. it seems Rae would enjoy having a dance off against me to start class.” He stated addressing the teacher.
“I think that’s an amazing suggestion Asher, Miss. Rae do you mind taking your position up at the front of the class and get ready?”
“But I really don’t think this is a good idea. Maybe Adrianna and Asher would be better?” I stumble over my words.
“Miss. Rae do not go against me. Go up to the front of the room and get ready like I have already asked you.” The teacher ordered.
I made my way up to the front of the room and met Asher up at the front of the room barley resisting the urge to smack the smirk right off his face.
“Please do remember karma sucks.” I threatened.
“Ok so Asher you will start and then the class will rate you. After that Rae you will do the same and the class will rate you. Got it?” the teacher instructed.
“Totally.” Asher and I both stated at the same time.
The teacher then put Somebody Told Me by The Killers on and Asher began to dance. I’ll admit he was pretty good but I knew I was better. I had been dancing since I was 5 and I absolutely loved it. Before I knew it he was done and had scored an 8. That’s when it was my turn to dance and I was completely immersed in dancing that is until near the end when I tripped over someone’s binder and landed in someone’s arms. Someone’s very defined and toned and yummy… ok control yourself Rae. I opened my eyes and of course found myself in the one and only Asher’s arms. Why? Why me?
sorry for this chapter being soo much shorter. i hope you like it though!
