Chapter 19

---/ Shepards POV \---
"Man I'm so lucky," I think to myself as I feel Miranda's head on his chest. Sex wasn't the only thing he had enjoyed with her. They watched movies and ate popcorn and had some one drop off some wine and just relaxed and talked about life. "Shepard, tonight was great," Miranda said without opening her eyes. "Yes it was," I said. "I wish we could do this more." She said sitting up. "Sometimes I picture us on a colony off somewhere, having a family, growing old together," I said with a smirk. She smiled and looked at me with joy. "Shepard, I love you." She said. "I love-" I was cut off with an alarm. We both jumped out of bed and got dressed. I grabbed my phalanx pistol and ran to the elevator. Miranda ran in and hit the button. As it opened on the CO deck, Jane, Liara, and Ashley ran up to us. "Shepard! We are under attack!" Ashely said. "By who?" I asked.
"We don't know, their are no markings on the hull. I've used my links to track the ship model. It's a Cerberus ship, but I don't know if it is actually them." Liara said, looking down at her data pad. "Okay, we should leave like now." I said. "Shepard if we were to go FTL now, we wouldn't end up where we were going," Jane said. "Damn it." I said hitting the wall. "Get a shuttle ready. Also tell Tali and Garrus to suit up." He said getting on the elevator. "Jane I want you to take a second squad and distract the turrets. Land on the hull of need be, otherwise get your asses back here. Shepard out." I said as I hit the doors. I slid down the side. I was alone for once. Honestly I wasn't ready. My implants were still repair themselves, I'd just been putting on a performance. I stood up as the doors opened. "Sir," Cortez said as I walked into the armory. "Did you equip Jane with what we had?" I asked loading my guns and putting them on my back. "To my best extent, sir," Cortez said opening the shuttle door and climbing in. Garrus and Tali ran in. I went to get on but Miranda was in the way. "I'm coming with," she said adjusting her old Cerberus battle armor.
"No, you can't. I need you here." I said slipping on my helmet. She walked up to me and cocked her pistol. "To bad sweetie," she said as she walked away.
---/Miranda's POV\---
"No matter how amazing Shepard was, his stubbornness always annoyed me." I said stepping up on the shuttle. I holstered my gun and sat down. "You too okay if I come?" I asked. Garrus turned toward Tali. "Yeah, your good Miranda," Tali said loading her shotgun.
"Miri, I.." Shepard was cut of by huge shaking of the ship. " Cortez, open the Doors! Now!!" Shepard screamed as the other squad got in to the second shuttled. 
When the hanger doors opened we flew out. I looked out and saw the cruiser. It was huge, maybe twice the size of the SR-2. "Cortez, what are we up against?" Shepard said leaning on the wall next to me. He looked good in his armor, determined. I always did have a thing for that. I looked up at him and stood up. "I have no idea, just use the device in the back to break the hull. I'll give you instructions on how to use it. Also make sure your suits are on. Cortez out." He said over the Comms.
"Wait a minute who's driving the shuttle?" I asked looking at Shepard.
"That would be EDI, she download a fragment of herself into the ship. It can't talk, so don't try to have a convo with the ship," Garrus said rubbing his head. "Yeah, Garrus stood there for 30 minutes trying to get EDI to talk." Tali giggled. Then we touched down. "Garrus grab it and everyone activate the grav boots," Shepard said. The doors opened and we jumped on to the metal monster.
