Chapter 11 - Friends

I suddenly felt boredom in my room strike and decided to go downstairs. Coming down, I overheard the boys talking about something. I couldn't hear it clearly, but I know that it was important. They were seated in a circle. I decided not to eavesdrop since it was some form of disrespect or something. Finally, completing the staircase, the boys stopped talking as Zayn looked at me.

"Katie, it's okay to be popular or famous. Harry told us about everything and it seems that you feel pressured. I'm sorry if we pushed you to be like this." Louis started, looking at me in apology.

"It's fine. It's just that I feel scared that my privacy would be invaded or something like that." I replied, sitting across Harry.

"It's fine, love. We'll promise to keep you safe, even when you're famous." Niall said as he looked at me.

"Fame is so weird. All I know about it, is that, everyone knows about you and  what you do." I replied.

"Well, that and it's either, everybody loves you or everyone hates you. You have to be popular in a positive way. We can't control rumors and all the tabloids, but the truth will always stick out." Liam stated, looking at all of us.

"Enough of the serious talk. We're gonna go to some of our friends, Wanna come with?" Niall said, raising his eyebrows.

"Sure! I'll just get ready!" I replied, racing back upstairs to fix my self.

Entering the room, I immediately changed my clothes and fixed my hair into a messy bun. I wore a black sweater, some gray sweat pants and topped it off with some black and white sneakers. Completely making my outfit look like I just came from the gym. Coming down, I only saw Niall. I guess the rest of the boys were already in the car.

"Shall we?" He asked, putting his arm out as if he was an escort.

"Yes we shall, my trusty escort." I replied, wrapping my arm around his. Getting to the car, I was seated beside Niall and Louis. Liam was driving and Zayn was beside him. Harry was beside Louis. Throughout the whole ride, we were all just singing along to the song called "She's kinda hot" by Five Seconds of Summer. We arrived and Niall and I were still doing the escort thing. Louis entered first and gave their friends a big hug. I still didn't see clearly who they were. Until, when Niall introduced me to them.

"Guys, this is Katie. Katie, you may already know who they are." I waved as they gave their warm smiles at me.

"Nice to meet you Katie. If you don't know me, I'm Michael." Guy with colored hair said, or should I say, Michael.

"I'm Luke, love." Luke said, winking at me.

"I'm Ashton." The curly haired guy said, beaming at me.

"I'm Calum. So, y'all could have a seat and a drink." Calum said, standing up and waving his hand. All of us sat on the living room, I was beside Louis and Ashton.

"So, Katie, how did you end up here?" Luke asked, looking at me.

"Well, it's a long story. But these guys recruited me." I replied, as I looked at Calum who was giving orange juice to each of us. As Calum was about to give me my drink, I think I didn't take the glass properly, which made me spill the drink and made my clothes wet.

"I'm so sorry Katie!" Calum said, getting a towel and wiping it on me.

"It's totally fine, Calum." I said, gently taking the towel from his hands and wiping it on my own clothes.

"If you'd like, you can change upstairs. I'll come with you." He said, pointing to the stairs.

"Thanks Calum." I replied, going upstairs with him.

"Which room?" I asked, before entering the hallway.

"The first one to your left." He replied, pointing to it. Entering the room, I noticed it was clean and tidy. Calum was looking for clothes in the drawer.

"Hey, is this your room?" I asked him.

"Yea. Neat isn't it? I'll wait for you downstairs. You can change here." He replied, putting the clothes on his bed and leaving the room. I changed my clothes into a baggy, black t-shirt, some gray sweat pants and the shoes I came with. Coming down, I saw the boys all talking and watching a movie.
