Some might argue that this should have been the first chapter, but whatever

Baelfire was alone. That wasn't anything new though, he was used at the constant tugging in his heart and countless nights he had to spend alone.

He was an orphan and outsider, all alone in a way too big world. Or rather worlds, since he seemed to be tossed around in between them.

After escaping Neverland he didn't have anyone, especially since there were over 200 years since last time he visited what we call earth. 16 years old in looks and mind but yet so old, so experienced.

Somehow he ended up in Chicago, it was where the shadow left him. Right outside a foster care, he didn't know if the shadow left him there on purpose or if everything was a coincidence. He wouldn't place his bets on that though, nothing had ever been a coincidence before.

They had greeted him with what they called open arms but Baefire doubted them, especially since he had heard the administrator complain over all the paperwork he meant.

Even here he was lonely. There were loads of kids who lived at the foster home but no one wanted to talk to the odd one. Once he even heard someone ask "what kind of name is Baelfire?" behind a closed door, after that he didn't even try to approach the other children.

But one day a new girl arrived. Baelfire watched through the living room window how they almost had to force her off the bus, she wouldn't go without putting up a fight.

And she was absolutely gorgeous. Her light blue eyes reminded Baelfire of the beautiful sun rises he used to see in Neverland. She had somewhat log blond hair which even if it was pulled up in a messily done ponytail seemed to reflect the sunlight.

The sunlight from a sun which had seemed to have decided to come out just for her.

She had a light layer of freckles over her nose and wore a red leather jacket over an old Green Day shirt. It looked as if she'd found the shirt in a dumpster but it was still pretty cool.

At last they'd managed to get her of the bus but she just acted as if nothing happened and adjusted the straps on her backpack before walking straight in through the door, pushing her way through the sea of kids.

Baelfire watched as she took a seat on the couch and before he could stop himself he opened his mouth.

"Nice jacket"

"Thanks, it used to be my mom's" She easily lied.

"Really?" Baelfire asked, watching the jacket in awe.

"No, my mom dumped me by the side of the road" She said, no sign of.. well anything really. She sounded as if she were talking about the weather "I stole this from the last home they put me in"

"The last home?" Baelfire asked in shock. She'd had been to more then one of these awful places. Bae hadn't even though about that there might be lots of kids like himself. He'd always had faith in that his father was the only one who was cruel enough to abandon his own son.

"Yeah, I've been to loads of these" The blond girl said with a shrug, then she turned to Baelfire and smiled "I'm Emma, who are you?"

"Baelfire"

So, this is supposedly Baelfire and Emma's first meeting. Can't say I didn't love it ^^

Also, if there is any Darling Pan/Pendy (Peter Pan and Wendy Darling) shippers out there I've just uploaded a new story called "Talk to me Darling" which I've put a lot of effort and thought into so if anyone liked to give it a try it would truly mean a lot to me :3

Lots of Love,
Selena xx
