Macy laid on the gurney, breathing quickly and squeezing my arm as the contractions were too much to bear.
"We'll be there in just a sec honey! Just keep breathing!",I yelled, running down the hall beside her. She looked at me in agonizing pain, her hand slipping down to mine. She held onto my hand tight, stilling looking at me before squeezing her eyes shut in pain. The doctors swerved her into the nearest room, our hands slowly slipping apart. I ran in behind the doctor, standing at his side while he set her down on the bed.
"Now Macy...My name is Doctor Kremilin and I'm here to help you...",The doctor said as he tried to calm her down. My mind started to drift as he talked. I looked away from him, glancing over at Macy and then down at the ground. The hospital floor started to change,it's texture now a dirty concrete. Straight yellow lines crossed the floor, going past the hospitals walls and outside. The voices around me were unclear and quiet, sounding as if they were far away.
"David....",The voice said in the distance, "David..."
"David!",Macy yelled at me,reaching her arm out toward me. I grabbed it,squeezing it tightly.
"I'm here! I'm here...",I said,my face sweating as my vision slowly focused on her.
"One more push! You can do it!",The doctor yelled as Macy screamed.
I heard it. I heard the cry of the baby as the doctor pulled her out. He held her in his arms, walking over to the side and setting her in Macy's arms. Macy started to cry tears of joy, holding the baby in her arms. She made a quiet laugh, looking up at me and pulling me in.
"Look David...Its our baby.",She said with so much love and happiness. The baby had stopped crying, her blue eyes so big, everything else so small. She looked up into my eyes, her face full of exploration and wonder.
I smiled,so full of unexpected amazement and cherish. This was my baby. This was our baby. It didn't feel right though. This couldn't have been my baby...

I pushed her wheelchair into the hallway, stopping to talk to the doctor.
"Her body is weak right now,but she be better in no time. If you'll just come with me to the front desk,I get you your papers and you can go home!",The doctor said, walking a few steps away.
"I'll be right back honey. I have to go with Doctor Kremilin.",I said, kissing her on the forehead and walking away. She grabbed my arm, pulling me back.
"Ask him when well be able to take the baby home.",She said, smiling and letting go of me.
I followed behind Doctor Kremilin to the front desk, grabbing the papers.
"Thank you Doctor Kremilin.",I said.
"It's my job...but your welcome.",He said.
"Uhh..When will we be able to take the baby home?",I asked.
"Probably in a couple days. Your baby's fine. It's just hospital protocol.",He said,"Anything else?"
"Um...No. Thank you.",I said, watching as he smiled and walked away. I walked to the nursery, looking through the glass at the small room of children. In front of me was our little girl, her body still as she slept. She was beautiful.

Although it didn't feel real, I could see the past nine months in my mind. I remember feeling for random kicks and reading bedtime stories to Macy's stomach. I saw myself setting up the baby's bedroom. The walls were a pretty pink,a wooden white crib in the middle of the room. Glow in the dark stars hung above the crib and a music box stood on the night stand.

I saw the day I found out I was a father. It was cloudy and rainy outside, and I was watching T.V on the couch. That was until I heard screaming from the bathroom. I ran down the hall, frantically looking for Macy. She was standing in the bathroom, looking down at a pregnancy test. She looked at me,smiling and crying at the same time.
"I'm pregnant...",She said, her voice holding back her excitement.
"Your pregnant...",I said,shocked.
"I'm pregnant!",She yelled.
I smiled and laughed.
"Oh my gosh! Your pregnant! I-I'm going to be a father!",I yelled. She ran into my arms, looking up into my eyes and kissing me.
We spent the rest of the day together, watching movies on Netflix and eating microwave popcorn as it stormed outside. A day that would likely be one of the saddest, became the best day of my life...but I couldn't stop thinking that maybe these memories weren't mine.

Arriving home after the hospital, I helped Macy into her bed, laying beside her. "You feeling okay?",I asked, stroking her arm with my hand.
"Yah. I'm fine. I'm just...so happy right now. I mean,here...with you...and our baby. Everything just feels right.",She said, putting her hand on mine.
Everything did feel right. I felt happy...
"Did you ever expect you'd be here?...with me?",I asked curiously. She though about it for a little before answering.
"Well...actually no. When I first met you ...I think freshman year? I did not expect wed ever become this close.Fate works in many ways though. Did you ever expect you'd be with me?",She said, chuckling.
I laughed back, becoming more serious as I thought about it.
"When did you first feel something more for me?",I asked.
"Wow. You are just full of questions today!",She said.
"I'm serious Macy...I want to know.",I said.
"Okay...well it was...that night of prom senior year. I saw you out in the road, and I just...felt something...",She said. Suddenly,I felt a surge through my body. I saw the road and the car lights as they came towards me. Then everything went white.
"The car...",I whispered to myself.
"What did you say?",She asked.
"Oh! It was nothing..",I said, pretending to smile and scooting in closer to her.
"You want to...watch a movie?",Macy asked,flipping the tv on.
"Sure...",I said as she leaned in to kiss me. I got up from the bed, "I'll go pop some popcorn."

I walked into the kitchen, opening the right cabinet on my first try. I listened as the popcorn popped,it's sound like gun shots. Another sound came from the backyard, the sound of violins playing a familiar tune. I walked to the back doors, grabbing both door knobs and opening them. In front of me were two sets of pews, everyone standing and staring back at me. I looked back to see the house was gone, the doors I had opened being the entrance into what looked to be a church. I was rushed down the aisle, seeing familiar faces in the pews,my parents sitting in the front row. I man stood a couple steps up at the end of the room. I stood beside him, turning around to see a woman dressed in white as Here comes the bride started to play.
