I laid on the cold and wet cement,my body temperature slowly decreasing. I was crippled,my legs broken and my ribs cracked, making it hard to breathe as my blood mixed into the rain. The car that had hit me was long gone, minutes passing as I laid there, starring into the starry night sky. I heard screaming from a distance, footsteps running towards me. Macy knelt on the ground, hovering over me.
"Somebody call an ambulance!",She said in tears, her face full of fear and pain as she held my head in her arms. My vision kept going in and out as she talked to me.
"It's going to be okay David...y-your going to be okay...",She stuttered, forcing the words to come out. Both of us knew that wasn't true.
Others had gathered around her,all of them standing and starring at me. Whispers came from every direction as I slowly started to fade.
"M-Macy...",I said,my voice weak and quiet.
"Yes David?...",She said, wiping tears from her face.
"I-I'm not leaving you this time...I love you so...much...",I said, dozing off.
"Your not making sense David...",She said, confused.
I moved my head up,looking into her eyes.
"Everything's...so clear...now. I-I...",I slowly held up my hand, touching her face, "Your so beautiful...",I said, finally letting go. I took my last breath,my hand slowly falling to my side as my eyes laid wide open, staring into hers.
"No! No! No! Stay with me! Cmon David!",She screamed, moaning as she laid her head on my chest. The paramedics came, picking me up off the ground and setting me on the stretcher. Macy stood up,letting go of my hand and backing away from the vehicle. She watched as they drove me away, the vehicle becoming smaller and smaller in the distance.
