The rest of the week went by slowly. I definitely didn't like learning one bit. Every time I would pass by Niall in the halls we would exchange smiles and sometimes even a charming 'hello.' It was finally Friday and the senior class was having a bonfire tomorrow to celebrate the nearing of summer and their graduation. I was still undecided of going because I didn't really like the idea of drunk half naked people running around on the beach. Ericka kept pushing me to go but I was still unsure. It was now currently lunch time and I met up with Ericka and the rest of our friends at our usual hangout.
Nicole's POV:
"So have you decided what baiting suit you're gonna wear to the beach tomorrow?" Ericka would never take no for an answer. That was something that annoyed me and made me happy at the same time.
"I still don't know if I even want to go. And plus, most of the people there are gonna be seniors."
"Pleeease. We can go shopping for new swim suits after school and anyone can show up. You might even see Niall there." She smirked nudging my shoulder.
The idea of seeing Niall shirtless really gave me butterflies. Imagining his drenched, toned body walking along the beach as he shuffled his hair and pulled it back. Walking towards me in slow motion. Ugh what am I doing to myself?
"Tell you what, let's go shopping for new bikinis and all that stuff, and if you're still not getting that summer vibe then we can just do something else tomorrow. Deal?"
"Deal." I agreed and smiled. After a few more minutes of endless chatter between us and our friends, the bell rang for the last class of the day. Ending the day off with chemistry always brought my mood down. I was always asleep in that class. Then again, I sleep in almost all my classes, which probably explains my 'not so good' grades. I was actually looking forward to going to the mall with Ericka to help brighten my day. When school was finally over, Ericka and I walked to my car and we drove to the mall. We went to a few different stores shopping for things you would need for the beach. We bought some sun screen, a beach bag, sandals, and sunglasses for the both of us. All we needed now was to look for something to actually swim in. We decided to go search for some in Pacsun. Ericka found a cute light purple two pieced swimsuit with blue designs that complimented her body. I on the other hand found a simple black two piece that I actually liked. It was tight in all the right places and I looked at Ericka for approval.
"Dude, you look hot." Ericka said grinning and looking me up and down.
"Are you sure it's not too much?" Unsure if it was too inappropriate.
"Of course not! Niall's gonna love it." She winked. I giggled at her comment and went back into my dressing room. When we were both changed and walked out of the dressing room Ericka headed straight for the cash register to pay for her items.
"Sooooo?" She nudged.
"Soo what?"
"Are you gonna come?" She asked as I saw the excitement start to build as she awaited my answer.
"I guess I could go for a little bit." I answered.
"That's great! We're gonna have so much fun! I'm looking forward to seeing someone else as well." She winked as she handed the cashier her clothes.
"Seriously? Who?" I was shocked that I had just found out about her new love interest.
"He's actually a friend of Niall's. So we'll definitely be hanging out with each other." She smiled.
I couldn't help but smile. The idea of Ericka and I on a date together at the beach made me feel excited. Wait, it wasn't a date though, i don't even know if Niall was going to be there. I guess I'd have to just wait and see, but a small part of me hoped that he would be there.
