Be You, Be True

-Wednesday Morning 2nd Day of Summer Vacation 8:30am-

"Hey,Lye..wake up..Lye..?" Katari shook her room-mates body trying to get at least a mumble but nothing happens,it was quite early so Katari decided to leave her alone for a few hours..Maybe Lye is tired..better giver her rest.I mean,she did arrive yesterday..moving is tiring..

Katari cooked breakfast and cleaned up a bit before heading to the bathroom and taking a shower,putting on some shorts and a baggy sweater,like usual.After her morning walk,she glanced to her wristwatch and yawned a bit..9:30am..an hour had passed,a complete hour.

Within the next few minutes rustles can be hears as well as the shifting of bedsheets,sunshine creepy through the curtains,the type of sunshine that brought lots of heat but little light because the rays were thin but long.

"Alright,alright..I'm up..just let me yawn get up.."Lye spoke while squirming and rubbing her face,trying to get the sleep out of her eyes and get Katari off of her stomach.

"Promise?We have some shopping to do ya' know?" Katari began to slip off of Lye,looking at her with a raised brow and a questioning look.

"Whatever,the mall it is,just get off of me oaf..yawn..I'll be ready in 10 minutes or so,behave.."

"Me..?Behave?Yeah,when pigeons fly"

Lye just layed there and blinked reaching over to the bedside table and putting on her glasses to look at Katari properly

"Did you just say...'When pigeons fly'...?

"I meant pigs,when pigs fly."

She gently pushed Katari off of her and wiped at her cheek looking her room mate over with a raised brow and walking to the bathroom,showering quickly and throwing on a sweater vest and jeans,slipping on some tennis and shaking her head as Katari began to walk out the door.

"When birds fly...My gosh.." Lye snickered and giggled putting her hands behind her back and frowning a bit at the group of girls near the forest's entrance. Katari glanced to them and shrugged,looking back to Lye's frown and then back to the group.

"Um...come on Lye..it isn't like your scared of them right?" Katari questioned,walking to the group backwards,looking at Lye's expression.

"Hey,watch it!" A high pitched and preppy voice called out

"Hm,oh sorry,didn't see you.." Katari spoke out with her usual gruff voice,she turned around and looked over the group of 4 and sucked in a breath scratching her cheek "So,you aren't gonna move out my way?" She folded her arms,looking up to her opponents face with a smug smile of mischief

"As if we would move a shrimp like you!Go around twerp!"

"Oh,I'm not a puff anymore?"

"Um excuse me but-"

"Shut up!You basic bitches,geez,I should totally just like update about you two in our group chat!"

"..I honestly don't think-"

"No,its alright Lye..I'll just let them know I mean what I say.." Katari stepped in the middle of the circle and walked towards who the leader appeared to be and licked her lips tippy toeing,still barely looking at her face "Lookie here miss,I don't like being called a dog when you obviously one yourself,therefore I would appreciate you moving outta my way,that way I can get on with my day."

"Hmph." The prep ignored Katari and flipped her hair,carrying with the conversation about boys,clothes and Lye.

Wait,Lye?What the demi do they need to talk about her for?Just because she is new and shares a dorm with the most gay person in the school..oh wait...she is a little older than me, maybe that's it..

Only five minutes had passed since the encounter with the other girls and Katari was riled up, she was already fond of her new friend Lye and wasn't into those girls messing up her shot with making a friend of her own.

"Katari, you need to calm down. I can see the veins in your little arms." Lye spoke in a soft voice and reached out to touch her roommates arm, her fingers trembling slightly

"I'm fine. Those mother-...Hmph." She allowed this to happen, what was wrong with a simple touch after all? Not all the time she gets angry but they were picking on the new girl of all people!

"Katari, is it true what I heard about you the other day?When I asked the headmaster to bunk with you she snorted and said some stuff..it spooked me at first but..."

"Hm?"Here it was, the breaking of all her friendships, "What did she say?"

"Some...weird stuff..." Lye stopped in the middle f the track road and played with the tip of her sleeve, her face flushed some. "She said...she talked about you and the bathroom incident..."

"Bathroom.....Oh...I mean it was an accident.." She stammered out and crossed her arms tippy toeing from her toes to heels back and forth."At first at least..."
