AS I HAVE SAID IN CHAPTER TWO, THIS IS THE NEXT CHAPTER TO THAT ONE. THERE IS NONE AFTER THE UNEDITED ONLY NAMED IRENE GREVES.
Irene Greves
Chapter Three:
"Why...is...it so...bad to be...a mix...?" Alexander asked weakly. Considering he had nothing in him, it must have been hard for him to speak.
"Vampires and humans were seprate for reasons, Alexander. You must leave, or our very soul will disinegrate..." I noticed how his eyes were slowly, but noticably if you knew, fading. I told him to go. He would not. That he would never leave me to a vampire. the odd thing of that, was he himself was half-vampire. I looked deep into his hollow, glowing red eyesockets, and asked him to leave. He did.
"Miss Irene Greves, shall we enter my home...?" Nathaniel smiled, pointed teeth showing clearly against the glowing white castle. I only nodded, and he led me off to the huge, sky reaching castle. I could not see it very well, but it was clear that the castle was beyond, and way beyond the clouds. i stared up at it in complete awe. i never remembered it being this big. And i remembered there being a moat of lava around it. maybe this was a different caslte?
"Irene, it is pleasing to see you..." A familiar voice. Father's voice. My eyes widened when I saw him.
"Father...?" I asked in uncertainty. He nodded. The one thing I noticed of him, was that he was not using his cane. "Your legs..." I said worridly. He smiled, and told me that he was in perfect condition.
"Do you remember that song your mother used to sing to you every night since you were but a baby up until you were nine? Lullaby From The Grave? You mother called it 'Irene's Lullaby'?" He asked.
"I do. What of it?" I asked curiously. He walked over, normally, his legs were, in fact, very well.
"Sing that song for me, in memory of your sweet mother..." He asked sadly. He and mother were very much in love. Mother never cheated, and father devoted most his time to her. They were in love. Something not meant for I...
"Yes, father..." I paused beifly, then began to sing.
"Spiders, Roaches, Lullabies,
Sing for them and all.
Mosters in the blackest night,
Following you and I..."
A loud crumbling noise shook the halls, as I made my way through the beautiful castle. Father urged me on when i stopped, and i did.
"Within it's walls,
The eye, it sees.
It watches over me.
Darkest Black,
Midest Night,
Day time kills them all..."
Even as the castle began to collapse, I continued at the request of father. Was my singing creating this? What was happening? This was not good. I looked back at father. What? W-what is that...?! I turned and ran, through the halls, and towards the way I had entered the Castle. I punded loudly on the huge Wooden door. Letters of an ancient language apeared. Blood. I knew how to read it. It said; 'HE KNOWS, HE SEES" I knew that line. It was from the last of the song. Mother had told me a long while ago, to never sing that part, for it would ring bad things to father.
"Life is short,
So do not be killed.
He sees, He knows,
He is out for you alone
"Avoid the night,
Escape the night,
For it will swallow you whole..."
I never got my chance to finish the song. Some form of being shouted Nathaniel's name, interupting my song. "You ignorant fool!" It shreiked. I shrunk down to the floor, terrifyed of he being before me. W-what was it...? Surerly not human, and surely not vampire. So what? There were, like a vampire, pitch-black bat wings. It had a skeleton's face, except not completely a human skull. As in a skull with two extra eye sockets, glowing an odd blue color, and left without a nose. obviously, it had arms and legs. but it stood like a four legged animal. "You realize she was not supossed to ever come here until I summoned her??!!" It bellowed down the long hall way. I sat there, motionlessly. Listening to the creature scream at the vampire named Nathaniel.
