The Black Sheep

I'm not like the rest of my family.

I'm what they call "the black sheep."

I lock myself away in my room

And listen to music they don't understand.

They don't get that I'm my own person.

Everything has to be their own way

Or else it's wrong.

So when I came along and didn't follow their way.

I was deemed the black sheep.

I guess having individuality is a bad thing, huh?

They try to change you.

Make you follow what they want.

Only some people understand me.

Those are the people I choose as friends.

These people are my real family.

Friends chosen and kept by my side.

There's a saying that I go by.

"The blood of the covenant, is thicker

than the water of the womb."

Only some people will know what this means.

These are the the people like me.

Who know what it's like to be

deemed as "The black sheep."
