Chapter 1

Rain.

of course it just so happens to be in seoul.

my mom is korean and my dad is from philippines. of course i know fluent hangul cause i only spoke it at home. my original home was toronto.

i moved to seoul when i turned 15 after my parents died. my dad used to abuse my mom alot. one night my dad got mad and she died.

my dad? he killed himself too.

ill never forgive him.

eomma.. i miss her so much.

i now live with my grandpa in seoul.

'arabachi! im leaving for school!'

'YAA LEE ANNA !! COME BACK STRAIGHT AFTER WORK!!'

my grandfather likes to yell alot.

'i know i will!' i said. i had to obey my grandfather cause hes the last thing i have.

i still get a little dizzy and my ears ring a bit when i think of my parents. but ill always be fine because i still have a life to live for my mom.

i take a bus to school. my school is pretty much a normal school in seoul. there are the flower boys. the idiots. the wannabe kawaii girls and all that.

to be clear here, im not smart. but i love science class. its probably the only class i enjoy being in.

after classes ended i went straight to my locker took my my phone and earphones out and played B.A.P's song Rain Sound because it was one of my favorites and i made my way to the little coffee shop down the street.

of course i worked there.

i switched from my black hoodie to my faded pink uniform and got ready to serve the elders who usually came to drink coffee every weekday afternoon.

around 6 pm it got a bit dark and my shift was almost over in about 15 minutes.

my apartment was just a few blocks down so i didnt have to worry about it being too dangerous to go home by myself when it was dark.

when i was switching back to my normal clothes, near the streetlight was a tall slim man dressed in black waiting.

oh hay there. i cant actually tell you my real name so i'll tell you my korean name aha. my name is lee gyu won. (its the same as the female lead in heartstrings ^3^) this is my first fanfic. :3 i will work hard. i hope its not bad. by the way your name will be lee anna.
