Chapter 3- Phase One

It's not what you think. I didn't sleep with him. Unlike some of the skanks dancing around Derrick last night, I am not a slut. As soon as I got into his car I informed him of this and I couldn't tell in the dark light wether he was releived or disappointed. I then proceeded to text both Pipper and Cassie, informing them that I would not need a lift back. Then, turning my phone off I shoved it back into my bag.

After about half an hour of awkward conversation the car pulled onto a gravel drive setting off a sensor light. The house immediately lit up, and I was awestruck. The house was beautiful, one of those A-frame glass and white wood beach hut type things. I sat in the car, my mouth hanging open, very attractive- I know. I snapped out of my daze when Derrick opened the car door for me- being the perfect gentleman. I took his hand, which was surprisingly smooth. I struggled to walk on my heels over the gravel, and of course my wobbling was noticed. I took the retched shoes off and started walking across the rough surface.

Feeling something squeeze my waste I squealed, sucking in a breath of salty, sea air. Throwing me up in the air Derrick spun me around, placing me and him face-to-face. I was standing on his dress shoes, when I felt a soft, warm feeling on my lips. My insides were going crazy, fireworks were going off and my heart was beating a thousand times a minute. Closing my eyes I continued the kiss, taking control. He chuckled and I opened my eyes, smiling up at him looking into his cute green-grey eyes. He hugged me close and walked me over to the smooth pavers. Placing me down on my feet I blushed, tucking a peice of hair behind my ear, I took his hand as he unlocked the front door. If the outside was beautiful, the inside had me lost for words. I stepped into a massive room which was kitchen, dining, lounge and entertainment room combined. It a small staircase ladder leading upstairs, then entire back wall was glass and had amazing views of the never ending ocean. Along the right side of the room was a wall with four doors on it, each leading into another room.

Taking my hand Derrick lead me out onto the back patio, were we walked down a stepping stone path and he opened a gate leading me onto the beach. Smiling like a five year old on Christmas morning, I pulled him down closer to the water were it was tickling my feet. I could just see his tanned face in the mixture of starlight and the light from the house. He put his hand around my waste and I put mine around his shoulders. His fingers intertwined into mine we slow danced. There was no music, just the crash of the waves onto the sandy shore. Finally at ease I rested my head onto his and listened to his heartbeat. Which I realised slowly was in time with mine. I dont know how long we stayed there, dancing to the beat of our hearts and I also know it didn't mater because in reality, I was happy, he was happy we were at ease, dancing aimlessly. Lost in our own thoughts, but truly together.

"Damn it Girl!" Pipper screamed at me "I challenge you to steal a guys heart in three weeks and you do it within three hours!"

"Sorry?" I asked, unsure of the message she was trying to get across.

"Why are you sorry?" She had the despite-my-hair-colour-I'm-actually-blonde look on her face.

"I dont know." I admitted sheepishly "All i know is that I can't get Derrick of my mind and when I think about him my stomach goes all tingly. For the first time in like six years I actually care what someone thinks, and it scares me because I'm lost, confused and scared."

"Girl, your in love" A passer by confirmed Pippers suspions.

"Exactly, what I am trying to tell you!" Pipper sighed.

"Fine, maybe I am" I said, giving in. "Now what?" The look on my best friends face scared me, but more so did the words that escaped her mouth.

"Now we begin phase One"
