The wind blew past my cheeks, sending a chill down my spine. I stared down at the dry rock below my black suede Timberland's. I must have spent hours there but had only shaken out of my trance when a deep voice filled my ears . A warm breath caused the hairs on the back of my neck to stand on end.
Slowly, I rotated myself in such a way that if there was danger I would be set in my fighting stance. Before I could result to my less than awful combat skills a large, warm hand reached out and stroked my hair as whispering hello.
I immediately recognized the deep rumbling voice. It was Richard, the irritating nerd who happened to sit next to me in almost every class. He also majored in art which again meant that we had the same classes. As he stroked (more like petted) my hair, he sang,
"Hey Jas." (Short for Jasmine).
"Please leave me alone." But to be honest it was super cute being sang to ... although his voice was off key and the only reason one would enjoy this is if they had a crush on them ...
Wait no...no! This was a big problem. I could not daree to fall for his flawless charms. His big blue eyes, his tanned chestnut skin, his deep raspy voice, not forgetting his toned irresistible muscles . This was very bad... I had a reputation to maintain.
