Part 9

Sammy's pov

"Hey JJ how you doing?" I say as I sit by him at the table.

"Oh hey Sammy.. I'm. I don't know.. But how are you? Your pregnant.. How you been doing with that?" He says.

"Oh.. I'm it's only been a few weeks in I think. But I'm starting to get morning sickness.. That's why I was in the toilet so early this morning... Sorry for waking you and Gilinsky up" I say.

"Oh. Sammy.. Gilinsky hasn't been.. I know he'd be different because of this... But lately he's always so so distance.. He's different." He says.

"JJ.. Everyones different. This is who we are now.. I tried to not notice that when this whole thing first went on.. But Cameron told me I have to. Because this is gonna be hard." I say.

"I know Sammy thanks." He says as he walks up to sit with Gilinsky who's driving.

I sit there and watch out the window seeing a walker as we drive by.

He was laying there grabbing at the air with a look of despair and hunger..

That's what this has come to.

The new guy Kenny sits down and hands me a drink of water.

"Here's some water.. And I think soon we should find you some vitamin pills. Morning pills and stuff like that" Kenny says.

"Um thanks." I say.

"Yeah no problem.. I had a baby you know.. Me and my boyfriend Wesley... But we lost the baby..."  He says as a tear slips out.

"I'm sorry.." I say.

"Yeah.. But they are both dead. Well I think Wesley is.. Or he got away that night." He says.

"I'm sorry..." I say again.

"Yeah. Um it was nice having that short talk. Just saying you should get some pills and what happens when you don't keep the right eye on the baby." He says as he walks away.

Wow.

Poor guy.
