Nate maloley's Pov

Okay so here we are at a store.

Me and Cameron and Gilinsky get out going into the store but I make sure we watch our surroundings. Gilinskys doing fine, but Cameron's seems distraught.

"Yo Cameron you good?" I say.

"Oh yeah. Just you know, don't know what we're gonna run into in there" Cameron says.

So I open the door and quickly look inside motioning for Cameron and Gilinsky.

"Okay so we have our guns. And a knife, remember guns attract. Only use if it's a emergency. So use your knife." Cameron says.

I know that.

So Cameron walks down the aisle by the coolers. Gilinsky follows me "Jack, you can go to a own aisle?" I say.

"Nah. Not ready to be alone.." He says.

"Alone for this? No." He says.

So he follows me and I walk down the meat aisle.

I almost gag.

Because the meat... It's not cows. Pigs. Deer. Moose anymore, it's us.

"All this meat is disgusting" Jack says.

"I know. It's not moose or deer anymore.. Just seeing the meat of animals makes me want to gag cause I mean. Now look at everything." I say.

I spy Cameron over In the medical aisle.

Getting band aids, cream. Everything and shoving it into the bag.

" you really think we'll be able to survive?" Gilinsky says.

"Yeah" I say, my voice laced with faith and hope.

I walk forward a little bit and hear someone yelling "Gilinsky! Nate! I'm being ganged up on!" Cameron yells.

We run to the aisle next to us and Cameron's standing there holding back two walkers.

"you can do it Jack! Get that one! And I'll get that one!" I say.

We get both of the walkers and throw them to the ground stabbing them in the head.

Jack hesitated a bit but he did it.

"Cameron what happened?" Gilinsky says.

"I wasn't paying attention. I know I should've been. They snuck up on me! I dropped my knife struggling with one of them" Cameron says.

"Jesus" I say and look down at the floor seeing something.

"Cameron what's that" I say.

He looks down.. Shit I dropped it. He says under his breath but we hear it.

"I um- he um."
