Scarlet's POV
When I answer my phone I get really nervous " Hey what's up " " Nothing much, how about you Scar? " " Well? I just found out my mom is getting a new job, one that pays better, but we... we have to move to Florida. " I say, holding back my tears, and with a lump in my throat. He is silent for a while, then he says. " W.. When are you mo.. moving. " He sounds so sad and heart broken. I look at my mom, and she lip-says 1 week. " We are going in 1...w...week." I say in a squeak voice. Then he hangs up. I can't believe it, I only get one more week with Sydney, Zeke, and Uriah.
Sydney's POV
I get a text from Scarlet, it says, Hey Syd, I just found out that my mom is getting a new job but we are going to move to Florida, but I have 1 week until we move. I stare opened mouthed, then a tear falls down me cheek, then I let the rest of the tears fall. Then I type back Well we might as well have a bunch of fun this week. Then I set my phone down, she sends me another text, but I don't bother to read it.
Then I get a text from my boyfriend Zeke, Hey Syd, Uriah (His younger brother) just texted me that Scarlet is moving. Great, more of the bad news. Then I type back, Ya, I know, Scarlet just told me. After that I, turn my phone off, and get into my car. I'm going to Scarlet's house.
