Daylight Vampire

Night One: The new kid.

Shira P.O.V.

I'm running....running through the forest during a full moon...I hear the flapping of a bats wings ahead of me...trying to get to something...I see a dark silhouette at a opening of the forest... my hand reaches out as i got closer...just a few more feet...and...

Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!

I opened my eyes carefully and looked around my bedroom to see it look exactly like it always does before smacking my alarm clocks snooze button...no forest...no more flapping wings sound...no dark silhouette...just me in my bed.

"Damn," I groaned before falling back onto my bed with my arm covering my eyes. "I was so close this time too."

"Close to what Shi-shi?" A small voice asked.

I quickly uncovered my eyes and looked over to where the voice came from seeing my little sister Alison holding her cat doll while standing next to my open bedroom door...god...how long has she been there?

"Morning Ali," I yawned while rubbing my eyes. "How long have you been in my room?"

"Everyone just retired for the day," Alison said holding her cat doll tighter. "Me and Jack felt lonely."

"Aww," I sighed before quickly jumping out of my bed and scooping her up in a tight embrace. "You are too cute!!!"

"Your gonna end up killing the both of us Shira!!" A tiny but angry voice yelled.

I quickly let go seeing that Alison's stuffed cat, Jack, giving me the evil eye while thrashing around in her arms. Jack is the spirit of Jack the Ripper...our grandfather Matthew Blood got Jack's soul and trapped it but after Alison was born, he inserted Jack's soul into a stuffed cat and gave him to Alison...over the years jack got used to being in his body and only allows Alison to handle him.

"Calm down Jack," I said trying to calm down the cat down. "I was just hugging her."

"Calm down!?!" He yelled obviously still angry. "You could've killed Alison!!! Without her I'm stuck with you!!!"

"Jack," Alison said a bit annoyed. "I think that you deserve to stay home today instead of going with me to school."

"What!?!?" Jack cried. "No!!! Please!!! Take me with you!!"

"Shut that stupid cat before I blow him up!!" I heard our mother yell.

"Fine," Alison sighed. "I'll take you but behave."

"Thank you god!!" Jack yelled happily.

"Whatever," I said before rolling my eyes. "Now get out of my room."

"Okay," Alison said walking out of my room. "I'll be waiting for you at the front door."

"Okay." I said before closing my room door so I could go get ready for school.

"We're leaving!!" I yelled hearing my voice echo through the big and quiet house before me, Alison, and jack set off for school.
