Swimming has always been my favorite thing, but now I hate it! I'm never swimming again! Honestly this experience ruined my whole future career, I was going to be in the Olympics. Whatever I'll tell you my story now.
My Horrible Experience
A year ago I was staying at an old hotel, since I had nothing to do and I was alone with my older sister. I decided to practice my swimming. I got my swim suit, towel, goggles and ran down to the pool. I got my googles on, dropped my towel and jumped in the pool. I opened my eyes and I saw a faint shadow of a girl, she looked like she was drowning, noyade in French. I'm taking a French class right now so I practice a lot.
Anyways I swam up and started swimming to the ladder as fast as I could. I felt her hair swipe against my leg as I swam. I got farther away and I felt a soft small hand grab my foot and drag me under. I happened to open my eyes again and I saw her face, she looked more then dead, like she's been dead for years. Maybe decades.
I kicked her and she released. She sank to the bottom of the pool, giving me enough time to get out. I got out, grabbed my towel and went straight to the lobby. I yelled at the workers that there is someone in the pool. They said that 30 years ago someone drowned in the pool. A young girl around 8, they say she's just playing with me. I yelled saying I demand that we get our money back. I told my parents when they picked us up at the hotel. We got our money back and left.
A week ago I read in the newspaper that two people were drowned there, and three others were almost drowned, in the same week. Thankful I made it out.Ever since then I can't swim, I constantly think the feeling of her hair and her ice cold, yet soft hand grabbing my foot. I don't even like showers anymore.
Never swim at an old hotel....
