 Chapter one

I layed in the darkness of the coffin. I have stayed in here so long I have lost hope I would be saved. All I could wish for was for me to never be disturbed. But of course luck hates me. I heard a noise on top of me. Since so much earth was separating me from the noise I didn't know what was going on.

"Shit." Someone cursed and the sweet metallic smell if blood flooded my nose. I popped my eyes open immediately and saw the slow trial that the drop of blood was making. It made its way right on top of my mouth and fell. Almost as if in slow motion I opened my mouth and the blood fell in my mouth. As soon as it did my eyes became sharper. My smelling became more accurate and my hearing improved so drastically it scared me a little.

I smelt flowers, woods and people. Humans and something else. Before I could wonder what it was more blood started to flow into the coffin. I eagerly opened my mouth letting the blood flow down my parched throat. When the last drop came in my mouth I was full. As quick as I could I tried ripping the chains wrapped around me getting some burns from the silver dipped in garlic sauce.

"What was that?!?!" A female asked. I couldn't contain my low growl and my fangs popping from my gums and I knew for a fact that eyes were now a bright violet color. I trashed around hoping to break the lock that kept on here.

"Break the locks." A deep voice ordered. On its own accord my eyes shut. I felt the ground shake as the lid was thrown off and suns heat on my skin made me smile a little. Perhaps unseeable to a human.

"Holy shit." Someone whispered making my eyes snap open. Everyone froze. Quicker than a human but still considered slow for a vampire I got up and ran for the trees shadows for safety.

And then my primal instincts kicked in. I eyed the people in from of me. Two humans, two werewolves.

"Hey Jess, Jake you should go get the ranger okay?" The werewolf man said.

"Alright." 'Jess and Jack' the humans said running off. They ran toward the other side of the woods their blood pumping overdrive from fear.

"Sweetie we need you to get down they'll call the humans and god knows what they'll do to you." The woman werewolf said.

"Are you a vampire?" The man asked.

"Yes." I croaked my throat dry.

"Come on we'll get you some blood."

That happened a year ago I stayed with Maura and Dean, that was their names, ever since. They were rogues so we moved around a lot. They were unable to reproduce a child so they considered me a daughter and I considered them parents. They changed my name to Julie since we didn't know what was happening in the vampire world, if there was one since they were classified as rouges they didn't know much about what was happening around in the supernatural world unless they heard a rumor.

I've learned to control my hunger. I can drink and fulfill my dark desires without doing harm to the world.

Right now we were moving to Minnesota. I passed through Minnesota to get to Canada once and the entire time I was thinking that Mother Nature was having her period. One day it's raining like there no tomorrow, the next it's so hot you would want to run around in the sprinkles naked. At least that was Maura's description of it, but then again she always was one for dramatics.
