** This part is dedicated to my friend Lexie! Yes, she is the original basis for the character in this story. I wrote it for her birthday as a small present.
I looked around me to see if Lexie was anywhere close, but she wasn't. I felt so guilty when I realized what a bitch I had been to her. I had barely spoken a work to her since after my initial test here. I walked out into the inner lounge, but once again she wasn't anywhere to be seen.
I went back into my room and took a quick shower. I was feeling pretty grody after getting hit to the floor so many times. I put on some sweats and a T-Shirt and walked to the outer lounge.
I searched for Lexie, but she was still MIA. Instead I saw Blane sitting on a couch looking completely and utterly perplexed, not to mention very frustrated. I decided to figure out what got his panties in a bunch.
"Hey Blane! What's going on?"
"SHEA! YOU can help me!" The desperation in his voice almost made me laugh.
"And what is it that I can help you with?" I asked with a small smile playing on my lips.
"I really wanna ask Lexie out today because it's her birthday, but-"
"Who hold up," I cut him off. "Today is her birthday? How do I not know this?!"
He looked at me like I was a complete fool. "Generally you have either been passed out, hurt, in a pissy mood, or with Ayden or Blade. Therefore it's not exactly like she ever got the chance to tell you."
I looked down with a slight blush on my face. Everything he said was true and I felt so bad about it. "Yea, I realized that about twenty minutes ago. Anyway how can I help?"
"Like I said I really want to ask Lexie out today because it's her birthday. At the same time though, I want to ask her out in the absolute perfect way since it is her birthday and all." He looked up at me with pleading eyes. Then it suddenly clicked. He was asking the best friend for advice on how to ask Lexie out! It was so cute that he was putting this much thought into it.
"Take her out tonight. Make it somewhere that's simple, but at the same romantic. Oh, and you should get her flowers. Girls in general like getting flowers. Her favorite are Orchids, so get those. Roses are too cliché for her. Hmmm... What else could you do?" I looked at him, hoping that he would come up with an idea. His face remained confused, but then it suddenly lit up.
"I've got it! Well... maybe." He started to look unsure of himself. "I'm afraid that it will be too cheesy and that she'll just laugh at me."
"Ok Blane, too cheesy is not really something you have to worry about. What Ayden did for me was too cheesy, but I still loved it. Trust me you don't have to worry about that." Relief was apparent as his entire body relaxed. "So, are you going to tell me how you're going to do it?"
A big grin spread across his face. "Nope! You can find out form her later if she tells you. Right now I have to go and try to set it all up! Thanks a ton Shea! Bye!" He said all this while getting up and practically running to the door. Guys can be so funny when they like a girl this much.
I was happy for those two, but I still had no idea where Lexie was. I glanced around the lounge one more time, just to be sure. I saw a couple random people around, but not who I wanted see. I decided to hang out with Ayden instead. After all, I wasn't about to go search the entire school for her. It'd be practically impossible to find her. Ayden wasn't in the lounge so I decided to go and try knocking on his door.
I walked over to the door with his name on it and knocked on it a couple of times. I heard movement inside then the door opened. Instead of Ayden at the door, Logan was standing there smiling at me. "Damn, I wish I had a pretty girl like you knocking on this door for me."
