"Okay, the box says to take two pills right now and one every twenty-four hours till the remaining four are gone." Skulduggery took out the first pill and gave it to Valkyrie.
Valkyrie blew her nose into a tissue. "I hate bronchitus." She took the pill from Skulduggery and was about to take it when Tanith piped up from the back seat.
"Oh! What does the pill look like?"
Valkyrie leaned back in her seat and held back her hand so that Tanith could see the bright, florescent pink pill. And then the pill rolled her hand.
"MY PILL!!!!" Valkyrie screamed.
"YOU HAVE TO TAKE THAT PILL! TANITH GET IT!" Skulduggery yelled back.
Tanith began rummaging around then she opened the door.
"Uh, guys it fell out of the car."
"Well pick it up."
There was some noise and then the door closed and Tanith sat back in her seat.
"I stepped on it," she said as she held the pill out to Valkyrie.
"Tanith, stop trying to psyche Valkyrie take the pill."
Valkyrie took the pill from Tanith.
"Blow on it to get rid of anything that might have gotten stuck to it." Skulduggery said.
Valkyrie blew on the pill but blew too hard and it flew into the plastic bag Valkyrie was using as a trashcan.
"MY PILL!"
"WHAT'D YOU DO?!?!"
"I BLEW IT INTO THE TRASH BAG!!!"
"WELL GET IT OUT!"
Valkyrie dug through the trash until she found the pill at the very bottom of the bag. She took the pill with water from the fast-food resturant Skulduggery gave her and he gave her the second pill.
She went to take it then said, "out of water."
Skulduggery sighed then went back into the pharmacy to fill up the cup.
Afraid that it might melt, Valkyrie put the pill on a napkin.
"Do you think Fletcher sleeps with a night light?" Tanith asked.
"Maybe."
"What about a stuffed animal?"
"Oh definately."
They continued to gossip about Fletcher until Skulduggery came back.
"You know," Skulduggery said. "I'll never forget what happened to that pill." And he grabbed the napkin the pill was on and threw it away.
"NO THAT HAD MY PILL ON IT!!" Valkyrie screamed.
They froze and then Tanith and Skulduggery burst out laughing.
Valkyrie dug out the pill and took it. She glared.
"I really did step on it." Tanith said.
"I really hate you guys."
