III. James

I woke up to the roaring sounds of a motorbike, Sirius' motorbike. I silently cheered, scrambling out of bed. Quietly, I pulled on a top and some decent jeans and hurried down the stairs, skidding to stop as I flung the door open.
" SIRIUS!" I shouted, bro hugging him.
" James, keep it down," Sirius muttered, grinning lazily.
" I thought you were bringing your sister," I said, out of the blue, puzzled.
He scratched the back of his head, like he did when he was nervous.
" She-I, she, well,"He began, " It would've been hard for her, the cold and stuff..."
He sighed, head in hands. I began to worry, god knows what she would do to Evangeline.
" We have to get her! I mean, Merlin Sirius!" I exclaimed.
He nodded, heading towards the fire place.
" NUMBER TWELVE GRIMMAULD PLACE!" He shouted, then disappeared. 
I followed seconds later. Sirius clamped a hand over my mouth, and dragged me towards the stairs. We sneaked towards the first bedroom and tried to open the door; it wouldn't budge.
" Alohamora," Sirius said, waving his wand.

The trace on his wand had been removed ages ago, so he was fine. The door swung open to reveal a small, brown haired girl facing the wall dejectedly. 

" What do you want NOW?" she muttered darkly, not even bothering to turn around.

" Were here to rescue you," Sirius replied, smirking.
She span around and faced the two of us, scowling.
" I don't need rescued!" she spat.

A scar covered her right cheek, and a few bruises here and there, Sirius raised his eyebrows.
" Coming from the girl who looks like she's had a cat fight with a cat," he grinned.
" Damn you!" she snorted, grinning.

Evangeline turned to look at me, and giggled.
" Sirius, I never knew you had a BOYFRIEND," she said, laughing.
" Haha, very funny," I said sarcastically, " I'm James Potter, nice to meet you,"
" Friendly  chat later, right now, we need to get out of here, because I have that feeling Regulus is going to try and beat me up again, and fail, mind you," she said, adding the mind you on.
She grabbed both of our wrists and tried to drag us out of her bedroom.

" GOD! For fit-looking young men, you weigh a ten thousand ton!" she huffed, breathing heavily.

" Probably because your tiny, here let me give you a hand, love." I smirked, picking her up.
" LET ME DOWN!" she squealed.
She was as light as a feather, and I held her on my shoulder easily.
" Give up now, darlin'" I replied, sighing falsely, " because your never getting down before we leave this battle field."
" I give in. Your just too darn cute to argue with," She puffed. 
Sirius shot both us killing glares.
" Oh my, I think I just died. Sirius just killed me with his angry glares," she faked, holding her hand to her forehead like a damsel in distress.
We heard footsteps coming up the stairs, and ran for it.
" RUN, SIR POTTER! SERIOUSLY! I DON'T WANNA DIE TODAY, OF ALL DAYS!" Evangeline shouted comically.
" THE NEXT ROOM! THERE'S A FIREPLACE IN THERE!" Sirius screamed, his voice echoing the halls.
Regulus shouted after us, but we had no time to stop for tea. I gently put Evangeline on the floor, and let her run towards the fireplace. She seemed reluctant to go first.

" JAMES! YOU GO FIRST! SO YOUR MUM WILL KNOW THAT YOUR SAFE, THEN SIRIUS, THEN ME!"
" NO WAY! I'LL GO LAST! YOU AND SIRIUS GO FIRST!"

With a sigh, she grabbed the floo powder and announced where she would like to go, and like that, she was gone...
