James and Sirius walked towards the quidditch pitch, Remus and Peter following behind.

" I don't even see why we need to do this," James pointed out, " We'll get to be chaser and beater anyway."

" I wouldn't count on that prongs," a girls voice sang, " because I'm trying out!"
" By hell, Princess, are you trying out for this!" Sirius warned her.
" I'm technically older than you Sirius," she reminded him, " I, will do, what i want."
" You might be older, but your freaking tiny!" James added.
She sent a glare his way,
" Just because I'm small doesn't mean I can't do things that taller people can!"

" Not just that, but your a girl, girls can't play quidditch," someone else pointed out.
" Whoever you are," Evangeline said calmly, yet snappily, " if you continue to poke your nose in other peoples' business, expect my fist to connect with your perfectly handsome face, and you won't be so handsome after that."
" What could a little runt like you do?" he snorted, " Oh, and I'm Marcus Flint."
" Well then, Flint, your about to find out," she growled.
Without thought, she kicked him where the sun don't shine, then punched his face, causing a slight nose bleed.
" WHAT THE HELL?!" Sirius screamed at his sister.
" I swear on Merlins' beard, you won't get on the team like that, kiddo," someone laughed.
" Don't swear to Merlins' beard, because it most likely will swear back," Evangeline commented, mounting her broom and flying towards the pitch with extreme speed and elegance.
Marcus, however, was laughing, commenting on Evangeline.
"Isn't she a little firebrand?" he laughed, " No wonder half the guys at Hogwarts are after her,"
" Shut up, Marcus, before you meet my fist," James growled, receiving many shocked looked from his friends.
" Come on, let's just go play," Sirius grumbled.
" First of all, I'd like to say, because we have a girl trying out, I request that you all go easy on her, because A. She's smoking hot, and B. She's a girl." The captain, Charles Hatley pointed out.
Evangeline's face flushed red with anger, then, she spat acid.
" Don't get to confident, sonny Jim. As far as I'm concerned, you were all born on the highway, were accidents like yourself happen."
And that was when the first ever burn was created.
Many stood in silence, gawping at this tiny, scrawny little thing who dared to insult them.
" And exactly who'd you think you are?" One questioned, angry.
" I'm Evangeline Black, and if your not careful, I'll hit you with worse things than comebacks, because right now, I have my wand with me, and boy, I have a few spells I'm simply dying to try out,"
" Chill, lil sis," Sirius said, shoving his sister in the shoulder, in a not-so brotherly way.
" SIRIUS! HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO REMIND YOU, YOU ARROGANT TWAT THAT I AM, AND ALWAYS WILL BE, OLDER THAN YOUR FAT EGO!"
" Lets just, get on with the trials," Charles decided, " Our best seeker yet, has just left, and I need to know who will be trying out."
Evangeline stood forward, her Silverlink 567, the best broom yet, tucked under her arm.
James took her wrist, in his attempt to drag her back.
" James..." she hissed.
Immediately, his grip loosened.
" Right, we have the snitch here, it's a copy, so don't worry, it's programmed to return to her in less than half an hour, you have longer in a proper quidditch match, but we don't have time for that yet," Charles said, " Ready?"

Evangeline nodded, ready to speed off from the ground. The fake snitch flew from Charles' hand, flying into the sky. Faster than lightning, Evangeline took off, riding towards the skyline.
" OH YEAH, AND WE'VE BEWITCHED SOME BLUDGERS TO COME AFTER YOU, SO PLEASE TRY TO DODGE!" Charles screamed after her.
' Great, just what I needed,' Evangeline thought to herself.

Meanwhile, on the ground, Sirius was pacing the ground. His sister was stupid, idiotic, yet somehow brave. She'd never played quidditch, so the fact that she COULD play quidditch came as a shock. It was like she had eyes on the back of her head, every bludger than even came within ten centimeters of hitting her was dodged gracefully.

The snitch was in sights, she saw it's small wings fluttering desperately. The light bounced off the gold coat, making it easy to see. With ease, she neared the snitch, hand slightly stretched out. She felt something behind her, wind pounding on the back of her head. Another bludger. Speedily, she grabbed the snitch, feeling the beating of it's wings in her palms, within that second, she turned upside down on her broom as the ball of doom ( as she liked to call it,) flew straight over her head. Cries of disbelief were shared below. Confident and proud like a true lion should be, she neared the ground almost floating off her broom.
" How was that for a girl," she commented, aiming it at Charles and Marcus.

" That was bloody brilliant!" Marcus said, grinning.
With a flick of her wrist, the snitch landed in Charles small bag.
" Merlin, Sirius. If you told me your sister could play, I would've gotten her on the team years ago," Charles chuckled.
Sirius, was beaming, squeezing the air out of his sister.
" I didn't know myself! Girl of many talents, this one is."
" Sirius," she wheezed.
" Oh, yeah, sorry." Sirius smiled, letting go.
" Thank god, that was bloody hard!" she sighed, redo-ing her ponytail.

Everyone stared at her, as if she had said something a genius would say.
" What?"
" It didn't look it," Marcus said, pushing her lightly.
Either way, she lost balance.
" Remember, I'm still a runt. So please don't push me, because I will fall, and then I will punch you," she reminded everyone.
