They would meet up at the same café, they had met at. They would take walks all the way to the park, but one day Zoé didn't show up to the café. Kane sat there waiting for her for hours. It had gotten late, so he went home. He came back the next day and the next, but she didn't come. He grew worried and went to the college that she attends. He asked if she was coming and going. The headmaster said she had perfect attendance. Kane asked what dorm room she was in? The lady at the desk told him. Kane immediately went to the dorm. Zoé opened the door. Kane hugged her. She hugged him back. Where have you been, Kane asks. Zoé says, I've been busy with tests and homework. I didn't stop thinking about you the entire time. I've missed you. I've missed you too. That's why I'm here, says Kane. Come in, says Zoé. Kane walked in behind her. He quickly realized that the room mate wasn't in there.

Maybe I can switch to this college, and we can be room mates.

Zoé sits back down on her bed and starts to study again. I don't understand this, says Zoé.
