They would meet up at the same café, they had met at. They would take walks all the way to the park, but one day Zoé didn't show up to the café. Kane sat there waiting for her for hours. It had gotten late, so he went home. He came back the next day and the next, but she didn't come. He grew worried and went to the college that she attends. He asked if she was coming and going. The headmaster said she had perfect attendance. Kane asked what dorm room she was in? The lady at the desk told him. Kane immediately went to the dorm. Zoé opened the door. Kane hugged her. She hugged him back. Where have you been, Kane asks. Zoé says, I've been busy with tests and homework. I didn't stop thinking about you the entire time. I've missed you. I've missed you too. That's why I'm here, says Kane. Come in, says Zoé. Kane walked in behind her. He quickly realized that the room mate wasn't in there.
Where is your room mate?Oh, I don't have one.
Maybe I can switch to this college, and we can be room mates.
Yeah, I couldn't see why not.
Zoé sits back down on her bed and starts to study again. I don't understand this, says Zoé.
What is it? Maybe I can help you, Kane says.
It's mathematics. It makes no sense.
Here, you add this, multiply this, square that, add all that together, you divide it and get your answer. See, it's easy.
Thank you. Can you help me on this on, too?
Yeah. You do the same thing. Add, multiply, square it, add it all together, and get your answer.
Thank you. That was the last one. I'm done with my homework. Thank you again.
No problem. I better get home. I got to ask my headmaster if I can switch to this college.
Okay, goodbye and goodnight. I will see you tomorrow evening.
Goodbye and goodnight to you, too.
Kane left and Zoé got ready for bed. Kane went on to ask his headmaster the next day. While, Zoé hoped he could switch and be her room mate.
